📢 Tuscola County 911 Weather Update ❄️

Tuscola County residents—here’s the latest update regarding the winter weather system arriving tonight.

🌨️ What to Expect
Snow is expected to begin late this evening, with the heaviest snowfall occurring between Midnight and 6:00 AM. During that time, snowfall rates could reach up to 1 inch per hour.

❄️ Snow Totals
Accumulations of 4–6 inches are likely by mid-day Wednesday before snow begins to taper off.

💨 Wind Conditions
Northwest winds will increase Wednesday afternoon, with gusts up to 35 mph, which may create blowing and drifting snow in open areas.

🚗 Travel Impacts
Expect slippery and slow travel conditions, especially overnight and through the Wednesday morning commute. Please plan ahead and give yourself extra time.

🚜 Safety Reminders
Please give snowplow trucks plenty of room to work. They travel at slower speeds and may make frequent stops—keeping a safe distance helps them clear roads more efficiently and keeps everyone safe.

🚒 Move Over for Emergency Vehicles
If you see emergency or roadside crews working, remember to slow down and move over. Your caution helps protect the people working to keep our community safe.

We’ll continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. Stay warm, stay alert, and stay safe, Tuscola County! ❄️🚔

Please note that a significant number of roads in the county are becoming increasingly impassable. The Tuscola County Road Commission is facing challenges in keeping up with current conditions due to the intensifying winds and blowing snow. We kindly request your patience and understanding, as our plow trucks work to maintain primary roads. Thank you, and please stay off roadways if feasible.
