Todd dropped off his 2011 Z06 Corvette at the shop for us to install and tune for an MSD Atomic Airforce intake manifold. The increased airflow from the performance intake and his long tube headers helped the car make 550 HP and 516 ft-lb torque to the wheels.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to do a baseline dyno and some light tuning on Jeff’s 1965 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III. The drivetrain is mostly stock/rebuilt with the exception of an electric fuel pump, CSI programmable ignition box, and Petronix coil. Before swapping out jets on the carburetors and making any changes to timing, the car made 86 HP. After timing, the car made 98 HP and 144 ft-lb torque to the wheels.

We recently installed a c-notch kit on Matt’s 1977 Chevy C3500. The bed had to be removed during install, which also allowed us to replace the passenger-side fuel tank while everything was apart. Patrick brought in his LS swapped 1983 Volvo 240 with a 4.8L LS and Holley Terminator X ECU, for a tune. We also upgraded the fuel system with an AEM 380 fuel pump and new fuel pressure regulator while it was here. After tuning, the car made 282 HP and 277 ft-lb torque to the wheels.

Dennis brought his 1940 Ford Pickup to the shop for us to tune his Holley Sniper EFI system. The truck came to us with a 350 small block crate motor running on Holley sniper 1. We upgraded the system from Sniper 1 to Sniper 2 and installed a Hyper Spark distributor kit. After dialing everything in, the truck made 251 HP and 259 ft-lb to the wheels.

Terry dropped off his 1941 Willys that has been Mopar Performance engine swapped for a tune on its FAST EFI system. Prior to tuning we updated the FAST EFI software and replaced a bad throttle position sensor. Once those issues were addressed, and we finished tuning, it made 514 HP and 484 ft-lb torque to the wheels with a low boost pulley installed.

Darrin had his 1967 Ford Mustang in the shop for us to install a Holley Sniper 2 EFI master kit. The install of the kit went smoothly and after tuning, the car made 325 HP and 315 ft-lb torque to the wheels.

Gianni brought his 2007 Chevy Corvette to us for a Texas Speed Stage 2 camshaft upgrade. While everything was apart, we sent the torque converter out for a high-stall upgrade and installed a Melling oil pump and an ATI harmonic balancer for added reliability. We had the car on the dyno and did the final couple pulls during the Hot Rods for Heroes Car Show, giving spectators a look at what we do daily here, and it made 405 HP and 363 ft-lb torque to the wheels.

Josh brought in his 2003 Lexus IS 300 for us to address a couple oil leaks and do some needed maintenance. We ended up replacing the front cam seals, crankshaft seal, thermostat, water pump, timing belt, idler pulley, and changed the oil while it was here. The refresh on the front of the engine should keep it dry for miles to come.
