Job description
Bill Smith Auto Parts is looking for a staff accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where creative thinking, problem-solving, analysis, efficiency, autonomy, and initiative are required. The successful candidate should be a team player, an excellent communicator, and be able to multitask while maintaining a high regard for the details. Adaptability and positivity are key qualities to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

 Use QuickBooks Online software, spreadsheets, and other databases to post up-to-date financial transactions

 Reconcile bank and credit card statements with high transaction counts

 Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable tasks

 Sales tax filings

 Maintain records, reconcile any discrepancies, create reports and financial statements, month-end closing

 Review, analyze, reconcile general ledger accounts

Qualifications:

 QuickBooks Experience required – QuickBooks Online preferred

 High attention to detail required, analytical and data skills preferred

 Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel – 5 years minimum

 Experience with sales tax – multi-state helpful

 Minimum 10 years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
