Turning lemons into lemonade.

We recently suffered a camshaft failure in our shop car.

Shoutout to the entire team at SC Raceworks were able to save the heads along with spending time with and allowing us to tear the motor down at their facility to make sure we accurately diagnosed the issue and checked for any potential issues. While there SC polished our crank, checked our block, cleaned up everything, and really gave piece of mind that this failure wasn’t going to be the end of the season or my wallet!

Really a blessing having great people around us to keep the program moving forward. Took the time to change up the turbo kit and a few chassis items including motor plates, engine limiters, 16 injector manifold, and a completely new turbo kit. We should be out at the end of the season to try and get some racing in!

Turbo kit is about done and the short block has already been assembled. Heads get picked up this week and our friend Jordan Martin already has our replacement camshaft and going through the others for inspection!

Along with these changes we will be doing some small tuning changes which include switching over to the ProDrag Software with Randy @ RStech on the keyboard.

A cool turbo kit change is we will be running no BOV or wastegates this go around. Boost will be controlled by a single Bosch throttle body on the cold side paired with the Motec M150 ECU of course.

Another shoutout to Matt with Billet Pro Shop! We are running their billet cam caps,motor plates, and engine limiters. We ran into an issue where the standard motor plate on the passenger side didn’t clear the 2 stage mechanical oil pump system but Matt literally on a whim designed us a new plate and got it shipped within a few days!

Lastly shout out to Brett Lesala with Motion Raceworks for getting us set up with a 2 stage Wet sump mechanical oil pump system! We are also running a custom oil pan from Stef’s Fabrication. Cannot wait to see how all these upgrades pan out!!

Once again we are incredibly thankful for the people around our program!!!!

What a clean G8!
Motion Raceworks Operator shifter came out🔥

Most of the time people really butcher these installs which is bad because the center console supports alot for the car like the windows, dash control, and door locks. This install keeps everything in place and functional! We will be doing a carbon trim plate to make it look even better!

She also got a set of full Aerospace Components Inc. brakes & the Belak wheels installed!

New custom screen designed in and produced in house by our good friend Nathan.

Combos are endless with the Motec Systems USA C1212 dash!

One amazing this about JBM our customer have large access to the best in the business. This is a great example.
