Docwelder speedshop I am Dr. Matthew Welder, a 20-year retired disabled combat Army veteran with a passion for hotrods and motorcycles. At 23, after college, I joined the Army.

My dad taught me to stick weld at about 8 years old, MIG at 12 and I was poorly painting my project cars by 13. Several combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan and retired from the Army in 2015. I spend
my nights and weekends working in my 3,500 SF shop. Turning wrenches has become a therapy for me and many others. I decided to start posting how to articles and videos on Facebook. This got the attention of other enthusiasts and has motivated them to get into the shop, garage, backyard, or whatever space you have and start working on your projects. The feedback that I have received now has motivated me to create a youtube and facebook channel. Warning: I am not a purist. I cut, chop, channel, section etc. and I love to create something out of nothing. I am trying to improve on old designs and create a better product.
