Just finished the tile portion of a master bath remodel. I’m the homeowner, not the tile person. We are REALLY happy with the results. My BF did all the plumbing, took off the popcorn ceiling, and did the electrical. A friend framed the shower niches and bench and did the sheetrock. Tile guy charged $7500 labor for the tile work only. Bathroom is 12’X24’ and will have a custom closet added on the exposed walls.
Edited to add: Wow…that escalated quickly lol. This is my BF’s house. He’s not on FB. I thought the bathroom was really cool. That’s why I posted it but I’m so glad you guys like it too. ❤️ I let him read the comments. He was laughing all the way through. He’s a salt of the earth, brilliant, hardworking man. He does commercial HVAC for a living but can do a lot of other things really well. Hence the way he put his hands all in this project.
The tile guy is amazing. We live in TN. I’m a nurse. A patient who is a contractor told me years ago when I was doing a remodel that this is the only person he’d ever let pour a shower pan for him. I “stole” my tile man from him & he’s done all my tile work ever since. Yes, he got a VERY nice tip. Once when he finished the job and once again today after my bf read all these comments. lol but no kidding.
I don’t make the man’s prices. He does. And I never haggle with him. I respect him & the work he does too much.
The tile is Belize azul from floor & decor. We absolutely will use area rugs. And the shower will have custom glass doors installed around it. For those commenting on the color choice, my house is more muted but this isn’t my house. There’s going to be a TV and comfy chair in there too. BF gets to trick his house out however he likes. His money, his preference. I support it and it’s a fun getaway when I spend the night.
