Did you know that, on average, an 8+ year old vehicle costs about $6,283.50 a year to maintain? That's $524 a month! Service, depreciation, decrease in fuel economy, and insurance all play key rolls in that number. A lot of the times people won't buy a car once their vehicle is paid off because they do not want to have a car payment.
