Until recently we did not have any skin in the game in regards to “oversize UTVs”. Now we do so we feel it is important our voice be heard;

In just a week we have had multiple requests for quotes for UTVs considered oversize. It tells us as a dealer that there is a demand here in Maine for these vehicles.

As a responsible dealer it is in our best interest to disclose that these vehicles are oversize which we did and will continue to do.

Our position is we would like to see the weight requirement raised to 2500 lbs and width left at 65” . As members of multiple ATV clubs and club members ourselves we would like to see that these clubs have ample time to implement these changes. If this rule change takes place it would be best to implement the change for the start of the following season. This should give clubs and volunteers time to check bridges, rebuild, reinforce etc.
