American V-Twin Performance I started in a Harley-Davidson franchise in 1980 and then opened my own shop in 1983. I met my wife Renee at S&S Cycle, she worked the for 19 years.

In 1999 I went to work for S&S Cycle in Viola Wisconsin and was the technical services manager for 5 years. I then joined Dynojet Research in 2004 and spent the next 18 years showing dealers how to tune with Power Commander and then the Power Vision after its release in 2010. I left Dynojet in 2022 and was contracted back to train dealers at their store location. As I have now cut back on work travel, I have decided to reopen my shop.

You don't see these very often - S&S Super D and you almost never see them chromed. I had this one on the shelf.

I have current openings for service and upgrades in the shop.

They were designed back in the 70's and are a big 2-1/4" throat carburetor built for drag racing. Some of the race engines S&S built in the early 2000's ran 2 of these.
This one is built for gasoline but can be converted to run alcohol or fuel (Nitromethane).
Last time I checked they are only available as a special order race item but used to be a catalog item when I work there 25 years ago.

If you need any upgrades or repairs done let me know.
Such as upgrading your cam chest to hydraulic tensioners, performance oil pumps or cams, fork and shock upgrades, tires, driveline alignments, handlebars, wheel,, exhaust, L.E.D. lighting, seats - give me a call.

Two cam conversions completed this week, a 2000 and a 2001 on Heritage Softails.
The owners are doing away with the spring-loaded cam chain tensioners and converting them to the new style hydraulic tensioners. Also installed a high output oil pump, lifters, cam chains and sprockets and Fueling 525 conversion cams.
This is a complete kit from Fueling that included all the parts listed above.
If you're still running the spring-loaded cam tensioners in your '99 to 2006 Twin Cam, let's talk about upgrading before the tensioners send pieces through your engine oil system and possibly have a catastrophic engine failure.
I've known Luke at Fueling personally for over 15 years and his company puts out a premium product.

Installing a new front end on this Softail Slim and it's really a nice looking set of forks. The top tree is all smooth with no fork caps or stem cap sticking through the top. The lower tree does not have slits in it to clamp the tubes. It's held in place by split bushings hidden in the lower tree. The axle is not sticking out past the ends of the fork, it is clamped within the fork leg and the bottom cap.
