Finished up Head gasket replacement on the 2015 Silverado. Before teardown I charged the AC with refrigerant that contains dye. AsI suspected the system did not hold a charge and it's a matter of seeing where the dye accumulated most to find the leak and Repair. All Total parts and labor with new water pump and thermostat were at about $3600 and If I can fix the air conditioning for $600 or less it's still still a low bill compared to everyone else's estimates. 2 dealership and 1 private shop quoted $5k or more just for head gasket job . Finally got the cylinder heads back from Caro Motor Works. Just over $600 to have them tested and milled. Now If I can get someone to hand me parts and tools I'm ready to re-assemble the engine. Parts and labor including sublet repair comes to about $3500 which includes new water pump and thermostat. Feel free to compare prices. 989- 355-4950. Happy Saturday! Next up 2011 Dodge Journey -4 wheel alignment. After having installed ft. Struts and stabilizer links,lower control arms, inner and outer tie rod ends,Rear struts with coil overs. Hopefully everything is in the GREEN when I'm done! Call for appointment.

Not Impressed with the eco-tech V8 GM put in from 2014 up. Active Fuel management (joke) and aluminum heads. Makes the cost of doing a head gasket job astronomical IMO...smdh Manufacturers DO BETTER!

Had a great week in the shop. Finally carved out time and money to fix my 2011 Journey. She got new lower control arms, inner and outer tie rod ends,front brakes,and rear struts. Still need to change motor mounts, install a hitch and perform an alignment. Hers a video from the strut replacement? FUN
