Older aircraft parts are getting harder to find.
Especially on 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s general aviation aircraft.
Wingtips.
Fairings.
Interior panels.
Trim pieces.
Plastic covers.
Some of these parts can still be found, but they may be expensive, brittle, faded, cracked, or not much better than what you already have.
Before you spend time hunting replacements one piece at a time, gather up what you have and let me take a look.
A lot of older fiberglass and plastic aircraft components can be repaired, reinforced, refinished, or updated instead of replaced.
That may include:
• Cracked wingtips
• Damaged fairings
• Broken mounting tabs
• Brittle interior plastics
• Outdated panels or trim
If you’ve got several parts needing attention, it may make more sense to send them together and have them repaired or refreshed as a group.
I hold an Airframe (A) license and specialize in fiberglass and composite repair, refurbishment, and non-structural cosmetic updates.
If you’ve got older aircraft parts sitting on a shelf because you’re not sure what to do with them, send me photos.
