Today we honor freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward equality. Juneteenth commemorates the day enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As we celebrate community, inclusion, and the freedom to be ourselves, we also reflect on the history, courage, and perseverance that made this day possible.
