Recently, after receiving a vehicle to donate, CBA Ocotillo gave their time, talent and expertise to ensure it was safe and reliable on the road. Once it was ready, they began praying about who should receive it. As they sought God’s direction, one organization kept coming to mind: Teen Challenge Home of Hope.

When the team reached out to the home’s director, they discovered one of the ministry’s staff members, Jewells, had been faithfully praying for reliable transportation. A graduate of Home of Hope herself, Jewells chose to remain after completing the program, first serving as an intern before joining the staff. Today, she dedicates her life to serving the women and children who find refuge and healing through the ministry.

The director shared that she and Jewells had been praying specifically for a vehicle and believed God had already promised to provide one. The call from the Ocotillo team was the answer they had been waiting for.

Tires are a large investment, and you want to get the most out of them. Regular rotations help both your alignment and suspension components.

Remember, uneven tires can lead to a rougher ride, poor handling, and less traction in inclement weather. 🛞

I’m live on KXOJ radio now with our special radiothon, trying to raise $2500/month in recurring donations for the next 12 months. In order to gain some momentum, I’m asking for one donor to pledge $1k/month, or two donors pledge $500, only if we can raise that amount through tomorrow at 10:00 in the morning. Donate on KXOJ website which links to our donation site. Or contact me directly at [email protected].

Traffic is going to get tougher on 75 on the south end of Tulsa Hills.

🚧 Highway 75 drivers, I'm just gonna say sorry right off the bat... but there's more long-term construction coming. 😬

Starting Monday, lanes will be narrowed and speed limits will be reduced on Highway 75 at 81st St South as crews start work to replace the bridges and eventually convert that interchange to a diverging diamond. 81st St South will also be narrowed to one lane in both directions at Highway 75.

ODOT says the entire project could take about a year and a half.

We will be closed Monday 5/25/26, but we will be open Tuesday to celebrate our 11th anniversary in business!

Tulsa Hills getting an IKEA in the former Belk’s space.

IKEA is coming to Tulsa Hills this fall!

This isn't the same kind of monster store found in other cities (where you can't escape for about two hours because there is one beginning and one end, and that's all). This store will be about 51,000 square feet, which is 75% smaller than the average IKEA store.

The store will carry 3,000 items or so, and have food favorites as well.

As I understand it, Tulsans can order from IKEA, then go pickup their orders at this location, without having to pay costly shipping, etc.

The retailer is expected to bring in an additional $30-40 million annually to the City, boosting retail sales and driving traffic to the Tulsa Hills shopping area. The store's indirect impact to the area is expected to bring in more than $100 million.

Congrats to all of those who worked so hard to make this possible.

SNOWMAGEDDON 2026 – 01/24/2026 Update

How are we doing…pretty good actually

Between 8:00 pm last night and 8:00 am today, we had only 2 injury collisions and 1 hit-and-run. While there were a few non-injury collisions, most everyone stayed safe on the roads.

As of this morning, most shelters are at or near capacity, but there is still space for those in need.

If you see someone in need of shelter, you can use the Homeless Street Outreach Request form online to help get them assistance: https://www.housingsolutionstulsa.org/assistance-request/

The City of Tulsa Gov put out a helpful post with information about road conditions, shelter operations, animal safety, service impacts, and more: https://bit.ly/3Ntb627

Thus far, the snow isn’t as bad as predicted, but the cold hits like a brick.

Stay warm Tulsa!
