Travel with Care

Travel with Care From behind the windshield it may look like pedestrians, scooter and bike riders are all the same, but they come from all walks of life and experiences.

While traveling the roads in Tulsa, we all need to respect each other. It’s all about safety.

If you take walks in your neighborhood or on trails like Riverside, some of these probably look familiar.

What feels minor in the moment can quickly become something more serious when drivers aren’t fully attentive.

Drivers, watch for people walking and travel with care.

Forgetting your helmet or protective gear? That’s our version of a horror movie.

What else makes your ride a little more stressful than it should be? 👀

This month was National Bike to Work Week, and beyond the physical benefits, riding to work can do a lot for your mental health, too. Lacey rides when the Oklahoma weather allows—and if you’ve lived here long, you know that’s a moving target. 🚲 🚲 🚲

If you’re riding, don’t forget to wear bright, visible clothing so drivers can see you, especially during end-of-day traffic.

Oklahoma has no shortage of cycling communities, and just a few hours outside Tulsa is a group that consistently shows up strong.

Every Thursday from April through August, riders meet for a relaxed 10‑mile ride.

World Day of Remembrance for Traffic Victims honors the lives lost and the families left behind.

In downtown Los Angeles, 711 Empty Chairs stood in memory of those killed in traffic crashes across Los Angeles County last year. Family members of the victims are considered part of the Empty Chair Club, ""a club no one wants to be a part of.""

Each chair is a powerful representation of life, and it makes it clear why safer streets are an issue that impacts everyone.
