Well it’s with a heavy heart I have a announcement to make
This Tuesday 12/20/22 will be the last race for Rods and Rails
It’s nearly 8 years ago that I walked into the doors of Rods not knowing anything about a slot car
Fast forward to several months ago I walked into Rods thinking it’s going to close and walked out the door owning it
Know with circumstances out of my control we are going to have to close the doors
I have looked endlessly for a building that will work that the track could fit and afford
I have come up short.
I have met a lot of great people thru the years
Thanks to everyone that has been apart of the journey
But there is a big thanks to Tim Burns for the time he has put in with me the last months making sure the Doors where always open
A very big thank you to all my local racers with out you this track would not have lasted this long
I want to thank all the guys that have travels many miles to come here and race with us
Also a special Thanks to my wife Allison Sanders
For supporting me thru this and making the best damn tacos and taco soups in the south.
Again this is hard decision to make
But with time coming on us to be out of the building and tring to get the track packed up
The track will be sold after Tuesday night
Will be going to a new home

Well what was scheduled to be a big race turned out to be mother nature trumping our racing.. was a very nice day outside so we decided to change up racing.

36 cars showed up for a very very light race.

What a week of racing
Started off Tuesday night with small bracket race
Houston showed up showed out
With the return of Nate tomlin showing he can still find the tree with the light money win.

Friday night kicked off the FAWL BRAWL
With a small car count we had a 60 car bracket race
60 cars made the call
Racing was tight
But when the finals came around it was all Mikey
Taken winner and runner up
But home town hero Ethan with the light money with .0000 quads to take the light money.

Which brings us to Saturday
Morning started off good with Mrs Allison with some killer breakfast
With a little computer issues Tim Burns got it all fixed up
With a lot of big car racing going on
The car count was down but we made it happen
Started off with a chassis chase race put on by
Chris Butcher
32 car shoot out
Allen came out on top
Buddy was your runner up

With 222 cars makin the call
Man was the racing tight
Bit when the smoked cleared at 7 cars
With Phillip ,Red , John Martin with 1 entry and
Ratt and Mikey with 2 entries the racing really got interesting
But at the semis it was
Phillip and mikey
John and Ratt
But nothing could stop the finals
Where Lil Ratt pulled out the dub over Mikey
But let’s talk about kameron with the best light all day Saturday with a .0001 not only is this kid a good racer he is a very respectful young man.
