Today I finally did something I've wanted to do for a long time.

I bought cases of water, filled my backpack cooler with ice-cold bottles, and spent part of my morning driving around Tucson handing them out to people who looked like they could use one.

One moment really stayed with me. A woman immediately put the cold bottle against her neck to cool off. It reminded me that something as simple as a bottle of water can mean so much when it's over 100° outside.

Some people thanked me. Some didn't. And honestly, that never bothered me.

I wasn't out there looking for recognition.

I was out there because helping people makes me feel good. Today reminded me that even the smallest act of kindness can brighten someone's day.

This is something I want to keep doing—not because I have to, but because it fills my heart.

If this post inspires even one person to do one small act of kindness for someone else today, then it was worth sharing.
