♻️ THERE’S MONEY IN THAT SCRAP! 💰

Come along with me as I show you the recycling process from start to finish right here in Tucson.

We brought in some aluminum cans, an old rim, and a few scrap parts that were just sitting around taking up space.

🥫 6 lbs of cans = $4.20
🛞 1 aluminum rim = $28.05

It may not make you rich 😂 but why throw something away when you can recycle it, clean up your space AND put a few extra dollars in your pocket?

Hopefully this helps somebody who has never recycled scrap before and shows just how easy the process really is. ♻️🙌

A little look behind the scenes at Viking Car Wash. 🛒❤️

We spend a LOT of our lives here, so when we grocery shop, we buy in bulk and make every dollar stretch.

About half of this haul goes home for our family and the kids, and the other half stays right here at Viking for me, the kids when they're here, and our hardworking crew. 💪

Running a family business is so much more than what customers see from the outside. We work together, eat together, laugh together, and get through those long days together.

And around here, if we're eating, we're gonna make sure our crew can eat too. ❤️

Some of the hardest battles are the ones nobody sees.

During the pandemic, my wife and I were grieving the loss of my dad, struggling financially, raising our family, and doing everything we could to keep our family business going.

My wife was taking care of our kids and handling so much behind the scenes, while I was here physically running the car wash by myself. There were days I would sit in the office crying, waiting for a customer to pull in. When someone did, I'd wipe the tears from my face, walk outside, and get back to work.

That season didn't last a day or a week. It lasted months.

But eventually, things DID get better.

That's why I'm sharing this. If you're in one of those seasons right now where life just keeps beating you down, don't give up. You may not see the other side yet, but that doesn't mean it isn't coming.

Keep going. Keep fighting. You got this. ❤️🙏

Cloudy headlights can make a huge difference in how a vehicle looks. 👀🚗✨

Here’s a quick trick we use at Viking Car Wash. A little heavy-duty compound and some elbow grease can clean them up quite a bit without turning it into a full headlight restoration.

You don’t need a ton of product either — a little goes a long way.

Shoutout to AutoCare for keeping us supplied with products we use around the shop. 🙌

Had to show some love to our neighbors at Mendez Bakery! 🍩❤️

We stopped by close to closing time, so a lot of the good stuff had already sold — but we still came home with some delicious treats! 😋
