We first opened our doors in Tucson with a modest store on I-10 then moving to the Alvernon location. In time, Golf Cars of Arizona grew bigger and bigger, opening a location in Green Valley in 1993, and then a third location in Catalina in 1994. With three stores in the Tucson area the company was chosen by Club Car to be their exclusive dealer for southern Arizona. The company has grown from 100
0 customers in 1995 to selling our 10,000th car in February of 2012. The company changed owners in April of 2012 with the previous owners retiring. The new owners of Golf Cars of Arizona came in with a vision of expanding the company past the current sale and service of private cars only. The relocation of the Alvernon store was a must as the store was very small with no parking or yard space, the new store on 22 St has more room to provide indoor shopping comfort, ample parking and a large yard for the new ever expanding rental fleet. Both the Catalina store and the Green Valley store were remodeled since the sale to give a better buying experience and a updated modern look. Upon purchase of the company it became clear there was a huge need in Tucson for golf cart rentals, Golf cars of Arizona stepped in and filled the void from not providing rentals in 2011 to the largest fleet in southern Arizona of over 150 cars by the end of 2013. We can provide any kind of rental needed from special events to Golf tournaments to street legal rental as of July 2013 in the process creating much needed jobs in southern Arizona. When the company changed hands in April of 2012 there were 11 employees as of January 2014 including the new Sierra Vista location there are 25. Golf Cars of Arizona also in 2013 became the new dealer for the Club Car Carryall commercial brand of utility vehicles and added Star EV as a value focused line of cars. The company is also now the main Club Car service provider to all the golf courses in southern Arizona. The ability to service most carts or utility vehicles on site is also part of the new company, the only provider of mobile commercial service in Tucson with our custom built on site service truck that came on line in the summer of 2013, we will come to you. In the fall of 2013 Golf Cars of Arizona opened a "in house" upholstery shop at the Catalina location a first in the industry, we now offer a quick turn around for all custom seats and enclosures as well as any type of repair work. Offering a wide selection of fabrics and vinyls, if you can dream it we can make it. Golf Cars of Arizona has opened it's fourth location in southern Arizona in Sierra Vista. On December 2 we opened with the same great service and selection of new and used cars in our Sierra Vista store just like our three other stores. In all the years in business the future for Golf Cars of Arizona never looked brighter; the new look and feel of our stores was designed to give our customers the best buying experience possible. The new “can do” attitude across the company makes for a great experience for all our customers. We don’t just sell cars; we build long term relationships and give the best after sale service in the industry.
