We always pride ourselves with providing our customers the best. In the automotive industry, quality WILL ALWAYS beat lower prices in the long run. We decided to send in an oil sample for this 2018 VW Atlas using our AMSOIL 5W-40 European Formula. Everything looks good with the engine and the oil is still in good condition after 13,000 miles of usage. As you can see, the Base Number is at 3.06, which is still in the green zone. This is also known as the TBN (Total Base Number). At 3.06, the oil is not acidic to negatively impact any rubber gaskets, and it will not form sludge either. As this number drops to 1 and below, then it will be time for an oil change. At this rate, We estimate the Amsoil Euro 5W-40 oil (on the next oil change) could go another 3-5k more miles (in addition to 12k miles) on this VW Atlas without any issues. 🔥✅
