🛠️ 6:40 a.m., coffee in the cupholder, tailgate already down.

That's most of the crews we pull up on. Roofers working through St. Charles County. Remodelers gutting a ranch kitchen. Deck builders racing an October rain that's definitely coming. Y'all make our job easy, and the worker bees notice.

What a smooth morning looks like from inside the truck:

⬇️ The driver is out of the truck before the can ever touches your concrete.

Thirty seconds later, skid plates are laid down right where the wheels will sit. Then the can rolls off onto those, not onto your driveway. That's the whole trick, and we do it on every single drop instead of waiting for somebody to ask.

Here's the short prep list on your end:

🚗 Move the cars out the night before
🧹 Sweep the drop zone so nothing gets pressed into the surface

⏳ Framing crew shows up Monday at 7. The can's still full from Thursday.

You know exactly how that morning goes. Debris stacked beside the pad, somebody's truck bed quietly turning into the dumpster, half a day gone before anyone swings a hammer. That's not a scheduling problem on your end — that's a hauler problem.

🚫 Before the cleanout starts, here are the five things that can't ride in a Buzz dumpster.

Most of what comes out of a garage or a remodel goes right in the can. The short list that doesn't is there for good reasons. Missouri bans some items from landfills and the transfer station turns others away. A few can also hurt our drivers or the crew on the tipping floor.

🛞 Tires go back to any tire shop. Missouri retailers have to take the ones you're replacing.
🧱 Wet concrete sets in the can and has to be chipped out by hand. Let it cure first.
🪣 Dirt gets heavy fast, so it runs on its own plan instead of a mixed load.
🎨 Paints and oils go to a household hazardous waste drop-off. Dried latex paint is the one exception.
💨 Air compressors and other sealed tanks can burst when a load gets crushed.

Yard waste is still something we haul. It just goes in its own can so it can be composted instead of landfilled.

🐝 If you're unsure about an item, message our worker bees a photo before it goes in. A clean load makes for a quick pickup.

🫣 The garage door goes up and everybody suddenly finds somewhere else to look.

That's the room, right? Or is it the basement corner where the treadmill lives under four boxes of holiday decor? Every house around here has one, and we've hauled out of all of them. So be honest and vote for yours.

🚗 The garage — cars parked outside since who knows when
📦 The basement — boxes from a move you finished years ago
🛏️ The spare bedroom — the polite word for "storage"
🔨 The shed — mostly wasps and a mower that doesn't run

Whichever one wins, a 15-yard can in the driveway usually settles it in a weekend. Skid plates go down under the wheels first, so your concrete comes out exactly how you left it.

🎥 Don't take our word for it.

We could tell you the driver was careful with the driveway. It lands differently when the homeowner says it, standing in that driveway, pointing at the concrete. So we handed over the camera. What comes back is pretty consistent, and honestly it's the boring stuff that matters most.

🛡️ The concrete came through it just fine
🤝 Nobody had to chase anybody down
🚛 The can left the day they were done with it

It's the Monday morning question, every single week. Jobs slide, weather happens, and most folks would rather know the rules up front than guess at them. So here's the straight answer, with no fine print games.

✅ 14 days standard — two full weekends and the weeknights in between
✅ Running long? It's $15 a day after that, and you can decide day by day
✅ Contractors and commercial accounts get unlimited days on the can
✅ A free swap or replacement isn't part of that, since a swap is its own haul
✅ Finished early? Say the word and we'll come get it

One tip worth money: if your project runs in stages — demo now, flooring in three weeks — it's usually cheaper to do one focused push than to hold a can through the slow part. Tell us the timeline and we'll tell you which way pencils out.
