Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What does this process typically look like?
A. It begins with you providing your vehicle details, contact info, and a description of the problem. We then perform preliminary research to verify the technical requirements. Once we connect to discuss your vehicle’s history and repair goals, we’ll walk you through the typical repair process and identify exactly what a mechanic should be looking for to determine the failure.
Our goal is to ensure you aren't sold an unnecessary major repair because the "little things" were overlooked. You will leave the consultation knowing which sensor readings to ask about and what those values actually mean, leading to a more efficient and transparent dealership visit—every time.
Q. When do I pay?
A. Payment is expected prior to the formal consultation; however, we never request payment until we have fully verified the technical knowledge required for your case. We only move to the payment stage once we are ready to deliver your Road Map PDF. This custom document includes your diagnostic theory and may feature curated links to educational videos or specific research data to help you navigate the repair.
Q. Do you use AI to help you diagnose?
A. Yes, we use AI as a high-speed tool to aggregate data and process complex information quickly. However, we do not rely on it to "solve" your issues. Every diagnostic theory we provide is rooted in over 20 years of real-world experience as a certified automotive technician across various OEMs. We use technology to gather the data, but we use our tenure to provide the logic.
Q. What repair guides do you use?
A. Diagnostic Logic utilizes a dynamic research process rather than a single affiliated guide. As our business model scales and service library costs fluctuate, we adapt our sources to ensure we are pulling from the most accurate and relevant data available at the time of your specific consultation.
Q. What happens if you aren't familiar with the specific theory or issue I’m experiencing?
A. Our mission is technical clarity. If we encounter a specialized electrical theory or mechanical issue outside our immediate expertise, we don't guess—we research. We consult OEM-specific sources to obtain the necessary data so you can feel confident in the accuracy of your final diagnostic report.
Q. What if the technical guidance provided is proven incorrect by the repair facility?
A. We prioritize transparency. Automotive diagnostics can be complex, especially regarding "Special Service Tool" requirements. If our logic path is proven incorrect by the performing shop, we offer a full refund for that specific service segment.
