A few weeks ago Mark and I, with no communication about it, both made our students parallel park with the same Aston Martin in downtown TC every time we went by it. For my girl, I made her take a photo to brag herself up. This was only her second attempt using a real car too. One might say she did better than the other car since she's at least in one spot. The road test will be cake for her.

I opened January segment 1 and 2 courses up for registration.

I'm going to start opening a new month on the first Monday of every month. I will still announce the new courses here when I open them. February will open on Labor Day.

Sandy’s Driving School LLC does something similar and we discussed the logistics of that and I think I agree that it's easier for people to plan if I don't just dump 4-5 months at a time. Keep an eye out for random openings if you want sooner. Some folks will swap to a newly opened month and leave openings.

I don't do waitlists and the website is the best reflection of our services and availability. I don't keep secret spots aside for lucky caller number 5. haha.

This is DEVASTATING. Wilder was a great kid. Thoughts and all of the prayers to his MANY friends and family. My heart hurts so much this morning. 💔

August is Back to School Month.
As students return to the classrooms in the coming weeks, the OHSP urges drivers to watch for school buses that are stopped to pick up or drop off students. In Michigan, drivers must stop at least 20 feet away from a school bus when its red lights are flashing. Drivers who pass stopped school buses may be charged with civil infractions carrying a fine up to $500. Penalties are much more severe for drivers who pass a stopped school bus and cause an injury or death. For more information, visit www.Michigan.gov/SchoolBusSafety.

With Cruz Control taking on another road tester, I'm inspired.

We are a small and locally owned operation. I don't have an HR team, a PR team, a customer service team or any recruiting teams LOL. It's just me teaching the classes and doing drives with a few on the road instructors. I never want this to be a massive operation. We've all worked for one of those schools and hated it. But I could take on more students with a little more help. I don't NEED instructors, but if anybody matches our vibe, I'd be more than willing to consider it. Haha

We teach every kid as if they're going to share the road with us one day. They aren't just dollar signs. It's no secret that's why we went off on our own in 2018. If you know fun and personable instructors that would also like to treat students like the individuals they are, send them our way! We only want to hire people that want to keep it fun and engaging even when mistakes are actively happening. Anger or fear is not welcome. We also want someone who is reliable and will show up to the job. I truly run a "set your own schedule" company. But you have to show up to what you scheduled.
