My brother and I are making a great team with workflow. We snuck this job in towards the end of our shop day. Top end package just came in this afternoon.

A customer sent his Honda z50 top end for refurb. Head was already clean and cylinder was painted as it was an attempt to lap in old valves and re ring a piston, but didnt work out so customer pulled the top end and shipped it out to us. Ex guide was bad, cylinder was scored up. We re-cut the seats and installed new honda valvetrain parts. Replaced ex guide. Repaired damaged exhaust stud holes. 2nd over bore/hone on cylinder. Leaked and measured all the work and provided pictures to customer. Ready to ship out with tomorrow's pickup as our day in the shop is concluded.

I'm going to have to order in some white lab coats😂

This lab quality Imada digital push/pull force measuring machine popped up for sale locally and I knew it would be a good addition to our shop. It will provide alot of useful info. Going to add a DRO gauge and make some parts to expand its usefulness as it currently sits.

From spring comparisons of stock to heavy duty alternatives and what their real differences are - Valve springs, clutch springs etc across many engine platforms

To evaluating these 60+ year old flywheel's permanent magnets health coming with engines we are rebuilding for customers. This digital load cell device can record a peak pull value and will allow us to test a flywheel vs what we will learn to be good safe range vs weak ( I have some bad flywheels in a bin that never ran great and just swapping them out for another one resulted in a great running engine). Weak flywheel magnets can cause you to chase ignition and carb issues if you cant identify the weak flywheel magnets...Especially on CDI conversion.

Stopped for a minute to make a small support stand for ct70/z50 carb rebuilds. Spare intake manifolds mounted to a simple support base. Throw it on the shelf when not in use.

Auxillary hanging gas tank feeding carb inlet ni**le. Open the drain valve with a clear hose turned upright and observe the float fill height compared to bowl top/gasket level. Helpful because alot of original floats have been tweeked/bent and even though you set to spec can still be off and cause over/under filling of bowl. Measure twice, install once...or something like that😂

I have been busy the last few weeks and have not even really stopped to provide shop updates. Weather has been very nice in the 70's. Almost a faux fall here.

Should be wrapping up 2 hardtails that were in for engine overhauls. Test rode a few other completed engines and shipped those back out.

We grabbed a new pitbike for the shop to experiment with some ideas...showed up today on the pallet...tbc...

My steel rear sprocket hub for the eddy brake engine dyno shaft is now completed, so hopefully next month start putting that machine together

Couple new shop machines - Got the langmuir MR1 CNC onto the floor / off its pallet and is now moveable with pallet jack after installing lower lift beams. 220 wired for this and the new mill that is coming soon.
New manual shop lathe has been in use making some parts/prototypes. New 2hp floor drill press has been added for versatility needs.

A bunch of new different parts to add to my ebay store are on order.

Honda Replacement 13.50mm ID Secondary / Output Shaft thrust shims 90451-035-000 90451035000

We have started to make these due to many requests as they go missing and are no longer available. These are Authentic Honda 13.50mm Honda transmission thrust shims from another motorcycle model that are being turned down to proper outer diameter. All dimensions and metal properties are correct for use in our small bore application and keeps the oil flowing to the shaft's bronze cast in bushing on the right side center case.

Just showed up at the door. I wanted a tire changing setup that is portable. This is the small rim capable kit ( 10" - 17" ). Time to give it a whirl...

I'll follow-up with my personal feedback after using on 10" small rims (Which seem to be most challenging with stiffer tire beads) and a c70 passport rim.
