Today, my wife Celeste turns 50. ❤️

People see the summers at the shore, the family, and the success of PJG and call it luck. 🍀

But Celeste’s “luck” looked a lot like raising six kids while I was deployed, countless 4 a.m. feedings, missed holidays, long nights, and holding our family together while I worked as a Marine, police officer, firefighter, and eventually built PJG.

For the past 15 years, she has also been an incredible business partner—helping build PJG into the family-owned and operated company we’re so proud of today.
We didn’t get here by luck. We got here through sacrifice, hard work, and a whole lot of love.

Most people think our busiest season starts with the first snowstorm. It actually starts in August.

While summer is winding down, our team is already preparing every truck, loader, skid steer, plow, spreader, and sidewalk machine for winter. From replacing hydraulic hoses and cutting edges to calibrating spreaders and testing electrical systems, every piece of equipment is serviced before the first storm is in the forecast.

Commercial snow management isn’t about reacting to winter—it’s about preparing for it months in advance. That’s what keeps our crews moving and our clients covered when winter arrives.

When the snow starts falling, our equipment is already ready to go—and that’s thanks to Ron Contee.

As PJG’s Fleet Manager since day one, Ron works year-round to keep every truck, loader, skid steer, sidewalk machine, spreader, and plow in peak condition. During the winter season, he also leads our Mobile Mechanic Division, responding quickly to equipment issues in the field to keep our crews moving and our clients’ properties serviced without interruption.

Behind every successful snow event is a team working long before the first forecast. Ron’s dedication helps keep our operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
