This weekend should be fantastic. We got a small amount of moisture today, (no dust). Groomed the tracks and the dirt is awesome. Come meet and welcome the new owners. Effective today, I am officially RETIRED. Jon and Jill Niemi are now the official new owners. I foresee great things and advancement with these folks. Lots of experience with the Niemi family, and they love the racing community, like I did, (but much younger). Tim and I will stick around to help with the transition. Hopefully, Tim will stick around long after I'm gone. I will miss all of you more than you can possibly know. Love to all with hugs and prayers.. Dan

Here is the first post from the new owners with a new name for the park, Toutle Motorsports Park.

First off, we would like to give a huge thank you to Dan and Audrey Dale for believing enough in us to give us this opportunity. We are very excited to continue to support the motocross and drag racing community.

There's been a ton of questions (naturally) on what our plans are for the facility. We want to reassure everyone that off-road and the drag strip are the top priority and will continue. Our purchase from the Dale's is because of our passion for the sport!

We do have future plans to enhance the motocross tracks, but this will take some time and most importantly weather. We also will be building a dedicated short course track on the property for SXS and ATV practice and racing! Again, we will be waiting for rain before this happens. When we get the weather, we hope to have a place for everyone looking to get some laps in.

We are looking at improvements that can be made to the drag strip, but we also don't want to take away from the spirit of what makes it great and keeps it open for everyone.

As for the immediate future, operations will continue as normal with open practice 7 days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the motocross tracks. We also will have drag racing September 2nd and 3rd.

We will continue to keep everyone updated through our page and eventually on our website which is currently under development. Our new logo design should be here shortly as well.

Thank you to everyone again. All the people we have met have been great, and we look forward to meeting so many more!

Drag Racing this weekend:
Sept. 2 - Team Challenge/Test & Tune
Sept. 3 - Cornwell Tools/Wheeler’s Points/Test & Tune

What does this mean to motocross? It means NO MX past the white fence at all! There are still PLENTY of MX tracks to practice on - the river vintage, arena, main, and 50’s tracks! If you come in Friday for the weekend, make sure you do not camp past the white fence. The drag racers will be camping there.

We are also going to close the big vintage MX track by the drag strip on Fridays when there is drag racing! Too much dust drifts onto the drag strip.

Aug. 27 - Unique Tin Car Show Drags (all cars welcome)

If you come in Friday for the weekend, make sure you do not camp past the white fence. The drag racers will be camping there.

If you pay for MX practice, you may WALK down in your gear and check out the drag racing for no additional cost. However, if you did not pay to practice, there is a gate fee of $10 to go watch drag racing. Either way, please go down the asphalt and stop at the drag booth.
