Ollie's Buell Lightning ⚡ is coming along. It was backfiring quite a bit and running hot. Pulled the injectors and gave them to RC Engineering for some love.

While there, I replaced the leaky intake manifold gaskets.

Ordered a new air filter. The old one was newish, but had been poorly installed and damaged.

Put it all back together and viola! Runs like a champ. Now to address the laky primary gasket. 🤘

Karla brought in her R6 and a lowering kit. She is vertically challenged. And as everyone knows, an R6 is a bit tall in the inseam.

I didn't recommend lowering as it throws off the geometry of the bike. And before she even brought it in, they tried to shave the seat. But to no avail, as it was still too tall.

So now it's done and more manageable for her to ride with confidence. 😁💪

FINALLY!

So this one has baffled me for quite some time. I had to replace the wiring harness and reg/rec as it was hacked up and destroyed the RR. Thought this was job done. NOPE!

Did that and now it was overcharging! Started the investigation and found that the black sensor wire had a huge voltage drop when I had the lighting on. Even when it was off, it wasn't enough voltage to that wire which would cause the reg/rec to overcompensate and hike the voltage to over 15.87 volts! Way too much.

I did all kinds of checks, resistance, volts, continuity.... Everything was checking out. I started to deep dive with a general search online about current draw in the lighting systems. And one, literally one topic out of tons had a guy that said he had a problem with his headlight bulb. HEADLIGHT BULB?!?

Well, I was at my wits end and figured, what else could it be??

And guess what? Replaced the bulb and BOOM! That fixed it!! And the old H4 bulb was brand new and working!! Albeit, from Amazon...

Moral of the story? Sometimes you have to dumb yourself down and look at the stupidest, most unlikely suspect.

Sounds so good!

Hans brought in his Ducati Monster S2R for some much needed love. And love it got!

New cam belts, hydro flush, clutch slave cylinder, injector cleaning, electrical check, tank repaint, and chain cleaning/adjustment.

The result? Spectacular riding machine!

This has been a bit of a challenge. 🤔

Brian bought this bike from an auction earlier this year. It was a non-runner. But the previous owner said it ran when parked. Have you ever heard this one before?!? 🧐

As you can hear in the reel, I am close to getting this FZR400RR to purrr like a kitten. The sync is now spot on, but I need to play with the jetting to get it just right.
