🚛💨 The first Kansas Krawl caravan is officially on the road!

Mike and the Washburn Tech students are heading to Kansas Rocks Recreation Park to start marking courses, setting up, and taking care of all the behind-the-scenes work that makes Kansas Krawl possible.

There’s still plenty to do before the gates open tomorrow, but seeing the first rigs roll out makes it all feel real. Months of planning are about to come together for an incredible day of wheeling, racing, great food, awesome raffle prizes, and an amazing off-road community.

Safe travels to everyone making the trip today. We can’t wait to see all of you tomorrow!

This Saturday, it's finally happening.

🚪 Gates Open: 8:00 AM

🏁 Driver's Meeting (Racers): 9:30 AM

🔥 Racing Begins: 10:00 AM

Each class will tackle TWO different courses.

🎲 Running order will be determined by a random draw before racing starts.

↩️ On the second course, we'll reverse the order.

That means if you draw #1 on the first course, you'll run last on the second. If you draw last on the first course, you'll kick things off on course two. A simple way to keep things fair for everyone.

🍽️ Dinner Served: 5:00 PM

Stop Building Around a Weak Foundation

One of the biggest mistakes we see is throwing thousands of dollars at a Dana 30 trying to make it survive 37s.

Let's do the math.

A typical Dana 30 build often includes:
✔️ Chromoly shafts
✔️ Bigger U-joints
✔️ Truss
✔️ Gussets
✔️ Regear
✔️ Locker
✔️ Ball joints

By the time you've bought quality parts and paid for setup, you're often within striking distance of the cost of an Ultimate Dana 44.

The difference?

The Dana 44 isn't just a Dana 30 with stronger shafts.

The Ultimate Dana 44 comes with:

5/16" thick axle tubes for significantly more rigidity.
1/4" heavy-duty brackets designed to resist bending.
Genuine Spicer chromoly axle shafts.
SPL 1350-series U-joints with full-circle clips and multi-lip seals for superior durability.
A heavy-duty performance differential cover and gasket for added protection.
Available electronic locker or ARB Air Locker options.
Genuine Spicer gears available from 3.73 all the way to 5.38.
Optimized pinion and caster angles for lifted Jeeps.
A higher axle weight rating designed to support armor, winches, and up to 37" tires.

And here's the biggest thing people overlook...

You still end up with a much larger ring and pinion.

No matter how much money you throw at a Dana 30, it still has Dana 30-sized gears. You can strengthen shafts and housings, but you can't make the ring gear bigger.

Sometimes it makes more sense to stop upgrading around the weak link and start with a stronger axle from the beginning.

Each class will run two courses with randomized starting positions to keep the competition fair.

We're excited to announce that 4x4 Land is once again an authorized Poison Spyder dealer!

For those who have been around awhile, this is a bit of a reunion. We were a direct Poison Spyder dealer for years and always loved their products, innovation, and commitment to building serious trail rigs.

Like many of you know, Poison Spyder went through some changes over the years. Now that they're under the ownership of ARB, we were able to get everything moving and get signed back up.

We're still getting all the dealer details finalized, but you'll be seeing a lot more Poison Spyder products coming through our doors in the near future.

From bumpers and armor to fenders and trail-proven accessories, we're excited to have another legendary Jeep brand back in the lineup.

The wait is over. Load up the rigs, grab your friends, and get ready for a full day of wheeling, racing, food, prizes, and good times.

Life is always giving you signs.

Sometimes they're subtle and easy to miss.

A random conversation.

A YouTube video.

A Jeep parked next to you at a stoplight.

Sometimes the signs are a little more obvious.

Like looking up and seeing a MetalCloak coil spring in the clouds.

Or a Sidetracked Offroad wheel floating across the sky.

Or somehow spotting a PRP Seats seat where normal people just see a cloud.
