We corrected a misdiagnosis on a 2011 VW Golf, initially thought to have a faulty dual clutch transmission by a mobile mechanic. Our assessment revealed a missing clip on the shift linkage, preventing proper shifting. We performed routine transmission maintenance, including fresh oil and a filter, and replaced the clip. The relieved customer then had us replace the timing belt and water pump, successfully restoring the vehicle.
