Do you want your next car buying experience to go smoothly? Save yourself some time and stress by bringing the following documents with you:

-Driver’s License
-Proof of Auto Insurance
-Down Payment (if you are planning to write a check, don’t forget your check book 😉)

If you are trading a vehicle in be sure to bring:

-Title
-Registration
-official payoff amount from your lender

In many cases you will also need:

-Proof of Residence (like a utility bill)
-Most recent pay stubs

I get TONS of customers who are on a tight budget looking for the cheapest car possible. Sometimes they are surprised to learn that banks are more willing to approve them on a more expensive vehicle instead of an old run down one. Why would banks do that? How can a more expensive car be more affordable?

The answer is repairs. A $5,000 car might have a nice low monthly payment, but it’s hard to budget for repair costs. Lenders know that people on a tight budget need a good reliable car to last them until it’s paid off.
