Everyone knows antifreeze helps water not freeze.
What you may not know it raises the boiling point as well also prevents corrosion of internal engine components.
Adding only water does none of these things but in a pinch it will do. We have universal 50/50 mix antifreeze you can just dump right in. Not a lot of money and works in all cars and trucks.
