Just want to educate our customers and friends. If you purchase a used vehicle from a private seller. Make sure you look at the vehicle title first before exchanging currency. IF the title has been stamped by the Bank or Credit Union or has a document attached. DO NOT purchase the vehicle. Wisconsin DMV can't process the title until it has been cleared and reissued without the lein holder on the title. It can take up to 10 days to get this done. Legally you can not drive the vehicle until you have the title and plate in your name. We hope this can help you, so you don't go through this. Have a great day!
