The right upfit turns a truck into a tool.

Organized storage, easy access and a setup designed around the work. This is what purpose built upfitting looks like.

Our Cleveland team recently attended Ford’s Gridiron event in Pittsburgh, connecting with dealers and showcasing the upfitting capabilities Royal brings to Northeast Ohio.

Built for the job. Built around the way you work.

A damaged liftgate can take a working truck out of service. We can help get it back on the road.

Our Cleveland team replaced the damaged liftgate on this Morgan step van with a new Tommy Gate RTC89-16EA55, giving the customer a 1,600-lb. capacity aluminum platform built for the work this truck does every day.

The team also upgraded the rear observation camera for improved visibility and safety.

Meet the man behind Royal Truck & Trailer in Cleveland — Jon Clawson.

Jon got his start in the truck equipment industry back in 1995, running a body manufacturing company in Ohio. In 2009, he opened Truck Equipment Sales, building strong customer relationships and decades of industry experience before Royal welcomed him and his team into the family in 2025.

When he’s not helping customers find the right solution, Jon enjoys classic cars, motorcycles, and spending time shooting s***t. But when asked what he enjoys most, he grinned and said:
“I love quoting van bodies.”

That passion for the industry and helping customers find the right fit is exactly what makes Jon such a valuable part of the team.
