It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Sam Spencer.
For 23 years, Sam was a familiar and welcoming face at Circle Subaru. He had a smile that could put you at ease, a strong handshake, and a warm greeting that made you feel like you belonged.
Over the years, Sam helped thousands of customers find their way into a Subaru. But to Sam, they were never simply customers. They became trusted clients, friends, and, in so many cases, family.
That was Sam’s gift. He built relationships that lasted far beyond the showroom, and he left an impression on countless people who had the privilege of knowing him.

We will miss his smile. We will miss that handshake. We will miss hearing his laugh and voice around the dealership. Most of all, we will miss the person behind it all.

Our hearts are with Sam’s family, friends, clients, and everyone at Circle Subaru who had the privilege of calling him a colleague and friend.
Thank you, Sam, for 23 unforgettable years. Your legacy lives on in the people you touched.

Last year, our theme was A Better Way.
Not easier. Better. Store by store. Market by market.

This year at our annual GM Conference, we raised the bar again with our 2026 theme, Beyond Better, and the point is simple: Better is no longer the goal. Better is the baseline.

“Beyond Better” is what happens when a leadership team stops asking “How do we improve?” and starts asking:
- Beyond expectations: "What would surprise our customers in the best way?"
- Beyond limits: "Where are we playing small because it feels familiar?"
- Beyond anyone’s definition of what’s possible: "What would it look like if we went all in together?"

That mindset matters, because the work is real and the scale is real. So “Beyond Better” is not a slogan. It is a standard. It shows up in the unglamorous places:
- how we lead morning meetings;
- how we coach performance;
- how we improve consistency;
- how we deliver more confidence, more convenience, more value for customers.

340 wish lists were granted by four Houston dealerships this holiday season! 🎁🎄

Group 1 Ford of Southwest Houston, Beck & Masten Kia, Genesis of Southwest Houston, and Sterling McCall Acura teamed up with Child Advocates and BEAR to make a meaningful impact and bring joy to children who need it most.

With every vehicle purchased, customers selected a child from the Giving Tree for the dealership to support. Thanks to this incredible effort, hundreds of children across Houston experienced a brighter Christmas this year.

Bringing hope closer to home. 💜

This week, Group 1 contributed $300,000 to the Building Hope Campaign in support of the new Texas Tech Health El Paso Fox Cancer Center. As the first comprehensive cancer center in West Texas, it will transform cancer care in the region, giving patients easier access to the advanced treatment they need.

We’re proud to support the El Paso community, home to six of our dealerships.

Audi Grapevine was proud to join The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition at the Dallas Together in TEAL event! With more than 1,500 participants, this incredible gathering made a powerful impact on the ovarian cancer community.

Together, they helped raise awareness, advance research, and support programs that directly benefit survivors and their caregivers.

They welcomed heroes from Austin Police, Fire, EMS, UTPD, Travis County Constable Precinct 5, and more. With tributes from the Longhorn Singers and UT Army ROTC, they reflected on 9/11 and shared gratitude for those who protect and serve the Austin community every day.

The new Kids' Meals, Inc. facility is officially open, and it features a one-of-a-kind Group 1 & Kids’ Meals-themed VW van!
