Finished this one up today. It had a dog tracking problem so we checked the alignment and it definitely should have been dog tracking. We ran out of adjustments so we had to tear down the rear and modify the spring plates to get it into spec. These kind of alignments are always tuff but we are up for the challenge!

Been doing a lot of classics lately! These type of alignments are what other shops are not willing to do. Mainly because of the time required but also because they lack the knowledge to get such a vehicle into alignment. This is a VW Type 3 Notchback that is an ex drag car so full custom chassis. This alignment was a multi day process because we ran out of adjustments and had to get creative! This is what we do though!

Sometimes technology isn’t the best. Today while working on an estimate to build springs for a 1960’s vehicle that are no longer purchasable I remembered this little box my dad left behind that we hadn’t pulled out in years. It came in very handy. Brown aged note cards and ink for the win!!
