Round 3 & 5 Update / Reschedule /Date Switch!
ORIGINAL ROUND 5 RE-SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 3rd at ARC PARK!
ORIGINAL ROUND 3 at VCRC RE-SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 31st with Overall Series awards presented at this round at the conclusion of racing!!
Hey everyone! We've spent days on end discussing and listening to feedback from the racers/tracks, coordinating schedule conflicts, curveballs, and trying to move the Tetris piece’s in place to get these two rain out dates completed.
We’ve worked out a date move and addition between VCRC and ARC Park;
Originally scheduled Round 5 at ARC will now be the next round on October 3rd! VCRC will host their originally scheduled Round 3 on October 31st! VCRC will effectively be the final round of the series, with Final Overall Series awards being presented at the conclusion of racing.
Obviously we can't control the weather, and it's frustrating when the forecast doesn't give us a clear "Yes/No" when it comes to making sure no one wastes time/money/gas etc to make it to each round. It's even more frustrating for a track owner/operator that has to spend money up front to pay for awards, supplies, etc AND spend countless hours and labor to get their facility ready to host a race only to be canceled.
That being said, we are at the point in the season where beyond these rescheduled dates ( Round 5 at ARC Oct 3rd and Round 3 at VCRC Oct 31st ) there will not be any opportunity for additional rescheduling in the event either round is cancelled due to weather. In the event this takes place, that round will be canceled. Ultimately the series will be adjusted to still allow one drop.
We know there's no way to please everyone and not every decision will align with schedules, but we hope everyone sees the effort being put forth to make the best overall decision for the racers and tracks involved!
