🌤️ THE LAB WEATHER UPDATE 🌤️

Things are looking MUCH better! 🙌

The forecast has improved significantly over the last couple of hours, with the rain chances dropping through the afternoon and early evening.

🏁 As of right now, The Lab is ON!

We’re going to continue keeping a close eye on the weather, but we’re liking the direction things are headed!

🏁 LOOKING TO RACE THIS WEEKEND? 🏁

We’ve had quite a few racers reach out asking about racing this weekend.

While Wabash Valley Dragway will be taking this weekend off, that doesn’t mean you have to! There are several tracks and racing programs happening around the region, and we wanted to help point our racers in the right direction.

🏁 Muncie Dragway – Muncie, IN
The Moser Triple 12’s are scheduled for August 21–23! If you’re looking for some serious bracket racing this weekend, this is definitely one to check out.

🏁 Speed’s New Hope Indiana Dragway – Freedom, IN
Another great option for racers looking to get some laps in and support a fellow Indiana dragstrip. They have a bracket race scheduled for Saturday, August 22.

🏁 Bunker Hill Dragstrip – Bunker Hill, IN
Friday, August 21 features Test & Tune, with Index Racing Saturday, August 22.

🏁 Coles County Dragway USA – Charleston, IL
Just across the state line and another option worth checking out for anyone wanting to spend their weekend at the dragstrip.

WABASH VALLEY DRAGWAY – WEEKEND UPDATE

After a great Time Warp weekend, we’ve made the decision that Wabash Valley Dragway will be CLOSED for racing this weekend.

We know some of our racers were hoping we would replace the canceled Poor Man’s Race with a regular points race or Test & Tune, but we’ve decided not to do that.

Instead, we’re going to use this weekend to reset, catch up on some much-needed work around the facility, and get ourselves ready for what’s ahead.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for the long-term health of a racetrack is know when to take a weekend and get things back in order.

I know this decision won’t make everyone happy, and I understand that. But I believe it’s the right decision for Wabash Valley Dragway.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Time Warp this past weekend. It was one hell of a way to finish out a busy stretch of racing. 👊🏽

We’ll use this weekend wisely, get some things handled behind the scenes, and come back ready to go.

🏆 TIME WARP TRACKSIDE CAR SHOW — WHAT A TURNOUT! 🏆

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Top 10 winners from the Time Warp Trackside Car Show! 🚘🔥

We had some absolutely beautiful cars roll through Wabash Valley Dragway, and we appreciate every single person who brought their ride out and became part of the Time Warp weekend.

We also want to give a BIG THANK YOU to the Doctorate of Physical Therapy students from Indiana State University! 💙🤍

The ISU DPT students came out and helped us with the car show while raising funds toward their trip to the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting in Philadelphia in February 2027.

They jumped right in, helped us throughout the show, and were a great group to work with. We were happy to have the opportunity to make the Trackside Car Show more than just a cool gathering of cars — it was also a chance to support local students working toward their future.

👏 Congratulations again to our Top 10!

👏 Thank you to every car owner who participated!

👏 And THANK YOU, ISU DPT students, for being part of Time Warp 2026!

🎬 TIME WARP 2026 — THAT’S A WRAP. 🔥🏁

Mother Nature threw everything she had at us.

The rain came.
The schedule got pushed.
The pits got wet.
For a while, it looked like the weekend might get the best of us…

BUT TIME WARP WASN’T GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT.

We fought Mother Nature all weekend long, finally got the show on the road — and WHAT. A. SHOW. IT. WAS.

🔥 SIDE-BY-SIDE NITRO ACTION. 🔥

Illinois Thunder vs. Drastic Plastic.

Two nitro-burning monsters lined up side-by-side, shook the ground, rattled the grandstands and charged toward the finish line together.

You didn’t just watch those cars run.

You FELT them.

If you weren’t here… you missed one hell of a show.

And the racing throughout the weekend delivered too. Here are some of your TIME WARP 2026 WINNERS! 🏆

⚔️ NOSTALGIA PRO STOCKS — MOPAR vs. CHEVY

Mark Pappas and Ted Peters came into the final round tied 1–1 in their best-of-three match race.

One run left.

Mopar vs. Chevy.
Pappas vs. Peters.
Winner takes the match.

And on the big end, MARK PAPPAS took the stripe, defeating Ted Peters’ Mopar and settling the score in the third and final round!

🏆 BACK TO THE FUTURE BRACKET RACE — SPEED FOR ALL WALLY

This field was absolutely LOADED WITH KILLERS.

And somehow the final gave us just about every contrast possible:

BOX vs. NO BOX.
BIKE vs. DOOR CAR.
ROOKIE vs. VETERAN.

Rookie Shane Diamond, aboard his supercharged Harley-Davidson, lined up against Reece Dinkel and his Chevrolet.

And here’s the crazy part…

Dinkel had finished putting the car together only 24 HOURS EARLIER and came to Time Warp just hoping to make a few passes on the new setup.

Instead?

HE LEFT WITH THE WIN AND A SPEED FOR ALL WALLY! 🏆

🔥 TRUE NOSTALGIA SUPER STOCKS

Nineteen cars. Old-school horsepower. Incredible racing.

These guys put on an absolute SHOW for the fans all weekend, and eventually the field came down to two:

Sam Chumley vs. Chris Zupanci.

When the smoke cleared, it was SAM CHUMLEY parking “The Pusher” in the Winner’s Circle and taking home the Time Warp victory!

One of the most exciting heads-up races of the entire night came down to two of the baddest cars on the property.

OLD SCHOOL vs. NEW SCHOOL.

Peter Shannon and the old-school Camaro lined up against Aaron Miller and the much newer Camaro.

Two generations of Chevrolet horsepower.

One finish line.

And this time…

OLD SCHOOL WINS. 😎

PETER SHANNON turned on the win light at the top end and parked that Camaro in the Time Warp Winner’s Circle!

🏁 STRAIGHT AXLE INDEX SHOOTOUT — SPEED FOR ALL WALLY

This one looked like somebody ripped a page straight out of drag racing history.

Harold Mibb’s 1963 Nova Station Wagon vs. Robertson’s 1960 Falcon.

When it was over, HAROLD MIBB put the old wagon in the Winner’s Circle!

He didn’t just leave Time Warp with the $800 WINNER’S CHECK…

He also took home the Nostalgia Speed for All Wally! 🏆

And congratulations to JEFF BRICKEUSDERFER, who battled his way through the Gamblers Race and took home the win!

🏁🔥 TIME WARP UPDATE — WE ARE RACING TONIGHT! 🔥🏁

GATES OPEN AT 5:00 PM!

Our staff has been hard at work drying the racetrack and getting everything ready, and right now our ETA to have the TRACK HOT is 7:00 PM! 💪

🌧️ PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND: We received a LOT of rain today, and while we’re making great progress, some areas of the pits are still wet. Please follow our staff’s directions when you arrive so we can get everyone parked in the driest areas possible.

⚠️ The pit spaces up front are RESERVED for the Nitro Cars and Nostalgia Pro Stocks. Please do not park in those areas unless directed there by a staff member.

TONIGHT:

🌧️ TIME WARP WEATHER UPDATE — 1:40 PM 🌧️

Well… the weatherman lied!

Unfortunately, the rain has not stopped yet, and the forecast has now pushed the rain out closer to 4 PM.

Because of that, we are going to push our gate opening back to 5:00 PM today.

We also want to be upfront with everyone: the chances of us being able to race tonight are becoming pretty slim. Even once the rain stops, we still have to give the racetrack time to dry and evaluate the pits. Some areas are already very wet, and we’re not going to put cars on the track or send everyone into the pits until we know it’s safe.

HOWEVER — even if we are unable to race tonight, we still plan to OPEN THE GATES at 5 PM.

We know we have racers traveling from several hours away for TIME WARP, and we want those racers to be able to come in, get parked, unload and get settled in for SATURDAY’S SHOW. 🏁

We’re not calling Friday racing just yet. We’re going to give Mother Nature every opportunity to get out of here and see what we’re working with once the rain finally stops.

FRIDAY RACING: TBD — CONDITIONS WILL BE EVALUATED

SATURDAY TIME WARP: STILL ON! 🔥🏁
