If you follow drag n drive, Dunphy just set the OFFICIAL record at 5.993 after breaking Toms years old 5.998 record earlier in the week with a 5.994. It’s assumed he’s coming back later to ‘step it up’

Wow silly season is starting early this year. Wendland to Rick Ware Racing (RWR) and Clay; Leah stepping out and Schumacher in. Who may replace Schumacher at RWR if they keep a second car? I’m available. Not young, cute and marketable, but certainly available.

Progress???

Fairly confident that the cause of the failure actually WAS the pistons hitting the head knocking the bearing out of it. After pulling the crank and inspecting it, along with looking it all over, fairly sure that’s root cause.

Pistons are heading back to JE Pistons finally and rods to Callies Performance Products to get inspected. Hope to find root cause as the why the pistons hit as everything we measured for placement of the pin in the piston all looks good. Going to quadruple check deck height again but we did that many times prior to ordering the pistons. Somn seems off on the chamber vs dome profile.

✅Pan is straightened out and ready to weld up.

💰Rod decision to be made once I know if they are OK or not.
