1969 Rat Rod C10 built 400 small block needs help to start and run. 90% electrical problem. Old wiring. Ran great, then electrical problem stopped it. Lowered, up on jack stands.

Carli got the engine out. It's seized, so it'll get a rebuild.

Carli's beetle (already named: OZ) has been acquired, and arrived today!! Here he is on the way home. Can't wait to dig in. Rain or snow, doesn't matter! We start and work whenever we can. She needs to learn to drive before she turns 16!!

Sad to say we have largely given up this endeavor, relocation, disability, and involvement in a new venture have reduced available time.

The C10 rat rid 8s for sale, to finance my 14yo daughter's vw bug for college transportation.

I imagine a retirement that includes playing with cars, and in the meantime, well, it's a vw. I'll have plenty to turn wrenches on while we teach her how works cars.

I'll post her project as it progresses.

Body adjustments and refinements
New amplifier and speaker wiring

After a fine hot June day under the Mustang, I am now the proud owner of a Sneaky Pete. What is a Sneaky Pete you ask? A one purpose tool that a smart guy who probably also spent the day under his car designed while looking in his shop, seeing a home roto-rooter, and realizing that all the bamboo dowels, brass drifts, and various gauges of wire were NOT going to remove the upper rear main seal, and designed this clever tool I did not previously know about. Ignorance is pain.

More to the story.....the rear main seal is a two part affair, and in this lovely case, the lower rear main seal was RUBBER, and the pin intended to hold the original ROPE seal was still there....(it's supposed to be removed when you install a rubber seal.) AND the upper rear main seal which the past genius decided to leave was the 40 year old ROPE seal, which would NOT come out. OKOK I'm complaining. I do not like backyard mechanics who take shortcuts without integrity, leaving some dope like me to find and deal with their shortcut later. By the way, their "fix" did NOT work. The reason I'm doing the RMS is because it was pi***ng oil all over my garage once I got it running well. Now, we wait for the mail to deliver me from my oily, greasy, dirty hell.

Oh: What be's a sneaky pete tool?: It be dis: (Lisle 27000)

Althea (73 Mustang) had a successful double leafspring-ectomy yesterday, but since it required too many beers to complete the procedure, the ensuing implant was postponed until today. Dual exhaust to arrive today, installation pending.

RoadWorthy Rides - Because we really like to return older cars to the drive-able icons they once were, (or better).....and because NOBODY EVER punched their brother in the arm to make sure he saw an '05 HonDaeKiaMitsuToyoSan pull into a drive-in.....but for about the same or less money, why would you drive one?

We who survive into the 21st century have what....maybe another few decades to actually DRIVE these cars regularly, without restriction or way too expensive dino-fuel?

Seize the wheel.
