We received a call from Queens Shomrim Queens Shomrim regarding a missing 38-year-old individual with a history of mental health challenges.

The family, from the Teaneck area, had not heard from him for several days and was extremely concerned for his wellbeing.

After several hours of interviews and coordinated efforts, the missing individual was located safe and sound.

A special thank you to our search Coordinators for their outstanding work and dedication in bringing this situation to a successful conclusion.

There is an incoming heat wave in the forecast for Bergen County so we're sharing this important reminder.

Together with the Bergen County Office of Emergency Management and the Bergen County Sherrif's office, we're urging everyone to remember that just one minute can have devastating consequences.

Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle.

Even if the engine is running, the air conditioning is on, or the windows are cracked, leaving a child alone in a vehicle is both dangerous and illegal.

A child's body heats up much faster than an adult's, and temperatures inside a vehicle can become life-threatening in a matter of minutes.

Before you walk away from your vehicle, always check the back seat. Make it a habit every time you park.

Together, we can prevent these tragedies and keep every child in our community safe this summer.

At Sababa Festival 2026, Chaverim of Boston once again demonstrated what community service is all about.

They were present and worked tirelessly during the festival, responding to flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and other roadside emergencies, helping one attendee after the next get back on the road and home safely.

We were honored to support their efforts by providing our Truck 3, supplied with the tools to respond to any emergency to, to assist wherever needed. We are proud to stand alongside a team so committed to serving their community and contribute to their mission.

A special thank you to Jonathan B. Shapiro and the entire Chaverim of Boston team for their leadership, professionalism, and dedication throughout the event. The care and attention they provided to more than a thousand festival attendees did not go unnoticed.

We would also like to recognize one of our own Search Supervisors, BC - 86, for leading the safety team, ensuring that everyone in attendance remained safe and well cared for throughout the festival.

We are proud to have played a supporting role and look forward to working together again in the future.

Keeping all attendees for the special night, safe.

Last night, Chaverim of Bergen County was honored to assist with safety and security at the Heritage & Culture Night hosted by the Sephardic Center of Fair Lawn.

Our volunteers were proud to be on hand, providing an extra layer of support to help ensure that everyone could enjoy the event safely and comfortably.

As always, Chaverim remains committed to serving our community wherever we are needed—whether responding to calls for assistance, supporting local events, or helping keep our neighborhoods safe.

Our members have been responding to multiple calls involving downed trees, blocked roadways, and hazardous conditions throughout the area.

We thank Bergenfield Police Department for their response and incredible service.

If you encounter a downed power line or wire, do not approach it, touch it, or attempt to move it. Always assume any wire is live and dangerous. Move to a safe distance and immediately call 911. If you need assistance or encounter a non-medical emergency situation, don't hesitate to contact Chaverim.

Storm-related hazards can appear without warning, and a situation that seems minor can quickly become dangerous. Stay alert, avoid flooded or obstructed roadways, and never drive around barricades or emergency personnel.

Our volunteers are out around the clock helping residents navigate these challenges and keeping our community safe.

While thousands celebrated at the Israel Day Parade, dedicated volunteers and first responders worked behind the scenes to help keep everyone safe.

We assisted Shomrim of Manhattan in providing additional eyes and ears during the Israel Day Parade in New York City.

Throughout the event, we worked alongside the dedicated members of .shomrim as well as the NYPD Counterterrorism Unit, Auxiliary Police, NYPD Community Affairs and , helping ensure a safe and secure environment for the thousands who came out to celebrate.

A special thank you goes to Shomrim of Manhattan for their leadership, professionalism, and tireless commitment to public safety. Their members work around the clock throughout the year to protect and serve their community, and it was a privilege to stand beside them during such a significant event.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support their efforts and to be part of a team of organizations dedicated to keeping our communities safe.

Before leaving the City, we got a call that one of the Shomrim member's daughters had a flat tire and needed help and a family from our community in Engelwood had a tire blow out right in front of our members as they were leaving the city.

One minute can change a life forever.

That’s why our members are out in the community handing out safety reflectors to help keep pedestrians visible at night, along with vehicle reminder magnets encouraging parents and caregivers to always check the back seat before walking away from their car.

What you're seeing now is our members on one round of giving the community these necessary safety tools at Grand & Essex Market .

We are grateful for our sponsors like Quality Air, Inc. for making this initiative possible.

These simple tools may not always seem so important, but it's small reminders can prevent devastating tragedies.

Prevention is one of the most important forms of community safety, and we are proud to do our part to help protect the families in our community every single day.

We thank Rabbi Neuberger for his blessings, giving our work that extra boost and meaning.

If a single reflector helps someone get seen, or a single magnet helps someone remember a child in the back seat, then all our efforts are worth it.

Chaverim of Bergen County is proud to announce the addition of a new emergency response vehicle to better serve our community.

This vehicle will help our volunteers respond faster and continue providing assistance whenever and wherever needed.
