I’m a little behind but we’ve been making some progress on the 62 Chevy Impala. The Ridetech suspension has been installed and the Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes are on. The rear axle has been upgraded to a 9” Ford by Quick Performance with a locker for better traction. The customer picked out a set of Foose 17” wheels to give a more modern but classy look. The engine bay is full again with the GM 6.2l LS3 connect and cruise engine package with 525 HP. We will get everything plumbed and wired here as we get the transmission in next. The interior also got a little attention with an Ididit, tilt column and a new smaller diameter steering wheel for more room. The instruments have been upgraded with Dakota Digital gauges for better visibility and more accuracy for the new Powertrain.

Merry Christmas from MCC. We hope Santa brought everything on your list 😀

Parts have been coming in for our 62 Impala project. We have the engine, transmission, rear axle, suspension, brakes and much more removed. The driveline will include a GM connect and cruise 525 HP LS3 crate engine, 4L75 automatic overdrive trans, and a Quick Performance Ford 9” rear axle. We are using a Ridetech full coil over suspension front and rear. Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes will bring things to a stop. A complete Cold Case radiator and fan assembly will be used for cooling. To make sure our new HP demand is met, we selected a Tanks inc. EFI tank and fuel pump assembly. Keeping an eye on vitals will be easier with a slick set of Dakota Digital VHX gauges.

Here are some final photos from our 68 Dodge Dart GTS project. Most of the mechanical and performance aspects of this car are all new and upgraded aside from the rear axle. It now drives and performs as good as it looks. Look for this one in action in our area next season.

One of our newest projects came in here a couple weeks ago for some changes to bring this 62 Chevrolet Impala into 2024+. This is already a very nice car but the owners drive it to further away car events and would like it to drive and perform better for the long road trips. A GM LS3 crate engine paired with an automatic overdrive trans, along with numerous other changes are on the list. All this should make a very nice car even better! It sounds like the existing, smooth running, 327 engine and power glide transmission will be for sale if anyone is interested.

Our 68 Dart GTS project went for its first test run today. We have performed many changes to the car including a new 340 crate engine, rebuilt four speed transmission, a new aluminum radiator, welded in frame connectors, an all new exhaust system including ceramic coated headers and stainless 2 1/2” exhaust, suspension upgrades, added power steering, painted original style wheels body color, and a whole lot more. The initial test run went well and we will make some adjustments to fine tune the car. Look for this head turner to be cruising the area soon!

We started out this Tuesday morning, after the holiday, with our next project. One of our regular customers recently added this 1968 Dodge Dart GTS to his collection. The family intends on driving this one quite a bit and the paint and body work are in great shape for a excellent starting point to go off from. We will be concentrating on the performance aspects on this one with a new 340 engine that packs a bit more punch and a bunch of other upgrades. Stay tuned on this head turner!

Another one of our good customers brought in his 85 Ford F150 for a new heart. The 351w has had better days and for a quick turn around we ordered up a new 351w crate engine. This is a fun driver for the customer so we didn’t get carried away but it should have a good amount of power over the current one with many years of reliable use. We have began removing the driveline and should have it back up and running soon.

One of our recent projects was this 07 Shelby GT500 from one of our awesome repeat customers. There was a small animal incident that left the bumper and passenger fender with some blemishes to be repaired. This car also has a large Whipple aftermarket supercharger requiring a hood with extra clearance. The aftermarket hood wasn’t of the highest quality so with the car needing a little work anyway we opted to install a true Shelby GT500 Super Snake hood. This is a very nice low mileage car and it looks the part. The car does look amazing even without the hood showing off that polished blower!!
