📱 A Quick Reminder Before You Tap "Select Repair Shop"...

After an accident, your insurance company's app or claims representative may offer to "help you find a repair shop."

That may sound convenient—but it's worth understanding how that process works.

Many of the shops suggested through insurance apps or direct referral programs participate in agreements with insurance companies. While many perform quality work, those shops also operate within the expectations and processes of those programs.

That doesn't mean they're your only option.

You have the right to choose the collision repair center you trust. Your insurance company cannot require you to use a particular shop to have your claim covered.

A repair shop should work for one person first: you.

That means taking the time to identify all damage, following manufacturer repair procedures, documenting what's needed to restore your vehicle safely, and advocating for proper repairs when questions arise.

When choosing where your vehicle is repaired, don't just ask, "Is this shop on my insurance company's list?"

Ask:

•Who is making repair decisions?
•Will the shop follow the vehicle manufacturer's repair procedures?
•Will they explain the repair process and stand behind their work?

Do I feel confident they're putting my safety ahead of speed and convenience?

Convenience is important—but so is knowing your vehicle is repaired correctly.
Before you click the first shop that appears in an app, remember: it's your vehicle, your claim, and your choice. Take a few extra minutes to research your options and select a repair facility that has earned your trust.

An insurance policy pays for your loss. You decide who repairs your investment.

🚗 Why Is the Insurance Process Taking Longer Than It Used To?

If you've been in an accident recently, you may have noticed that getting your vehicle repaired isn't always as simple as dropping it off and picking it up a few days later. As a collision repair center, we want to help you understand what's happening behind the scenes.

Over the last several years, the auto repair industry has changed dramatically.

🔹 Today's vehicles are more advanced than ever. Modern cars are equipped with cameras, radar sensors, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and specialized materials that require precise repair procedures and calibrations to restore them safely.

🔹 Insurance companies are under pressure to control costs. Many repair estimates require multiple reviews, documentation, negotiations, or approvals before repairs can move forward. While this process is intended to manage claim costs, it can also extend repair timelines.

🔹 Hidden damage is common. Once a vehicle is disassembled, technicians often discover additional damage that wasn't visible during the initial inspection. Supplemental estimates must then be submitted to the insurance company for approval before repairs can continue.

🔹 Parts availability still impacts repairs. While supply chains have improved, certain OEM and specialty parts can still experience delays depending on the vehicle make and model.

🔹 Safe repairs come first. Reputable collision centers follow manufacturer repair procedures rather than cutting corners. That means using the correct repair methods, replacing components when required, and performing necessary calibrations before returning your vehicle.

At the end of the day, everyone wants the same outcome—a safe, properly repaired vehicle. We know the process can be frustrating, especially when you're waiting on approvals or parts, but our team works every day to advocate for proper repairs while keeping you informed throughout the process.

Thank you for your patience and trust. If you ever have questions about your repair or the insurance claim process, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help you understand every step along the way
