This is what happens when you flirt too much with the push rod hole. It has been done many times by many head porters, sometimes on purpose to go as far you can go. However this MGA 1500/1600 cylinder head was already this way on a late 70s MGB street car. The ports openings were way bigger than they needed to be for a street car. The late MGB engine will get a fresh 12H2389 head core to port for it. However this head was too good to just toss. They had this head running with those push holes open which got some oil induction with fuel and air, for sure. So I plunged the push rod bores out to 5/8", and the ID of the push rod bore will be exactly the same ID as they were stock and this will be fully repaired. While they did a fairly good work opening the ports runners, there is much to do to the bowls. So this head will be repaired, fully ported, rebuilt and converted into a MGA race head, and live on to take on a new life on the track. I already cut the sleeves, but will wait to install them when the porting is finished. Turning chicken 💩 in to chicken salad, recycling old car style.😁

I used Cerakote ceramic high temp exhaust coating, air dry to coat my stainless steel LCB header, a stock exhaust manifold, as well as my new muffler and resonator. I have used this product before on some race headers and found it to be long-lasting, cut down under the hood heat, and looks good long-term.

(4) VTO Classic 8 4x114.3 bolt pattern, +22mm offset. These came off my own 71 MGB, I switched to 15x6 VTO Lemans. They are mounted on 195/65/14 Fallway HP-108 tires 380AA, perfect tire for a lightweight sports car, like a MGB. These wheels are in as new condition and the tires have about 250 miles on them and have 2023 date code. New you have about 1100.00 in this package before shippingo cost on the wheels ; I will take 500.00 for it all. Another one, a 12H1326, ported and machine shop ready. Also did a ported matched twin HS4 intake manifold, and rebuilt the rocker arm assembly. Now starting on a 1275.

I have collecting early MGB 12H1326 pre smog heads for race heads and early MGB projects over the years I have 2 of them cleaned up, stripped down and cracked checked. They are virgin, as in never been resuraced. 450.00+ shipping. If you want me to rebuild it or port I can do that as well
