For more than 24 years, we have been a family-owned business, run by the father-and-son team of Ralph and Matt Smith. We are the oldest family-owned business in the Gold Triangle area. As we at Lake Tire & Auto observe Memorial Day, we remember the courage and selflessness of those who have defended our nation. We honor their memory by continuing to uphold the values they fought for. This holiday is a time for reflection, gratitude, and celebration of our freedom.

It is with great sadness that we have to report that my longtime employee (20+ years) Gary Sanford has passed away and gone to be with our Lord! As we find out about any services we will post. At this time all I would ask is that you pray for Roxy, his wife. She has been his anchor! He has been for many of you the guy who installed your tires or supervised some of our newer guys, to make sure it was done right. His work ethic, loyalty and faithfulness to his duties were second to none. If you knew Gary, if he put air in your tires or tightened your spare down and wish to bless his wife in anyway with some of her upcoming needs, please drop any gifts off at Lake Tire & Auto in Tavares at 812 W Burleigh Blvd. and give to Dave, Matt or Ralph. We promise he will receive every penny and then some.
