Pics of the 23’ from yesterday 🏁

She hit the water for a preliminary sea trial to test a few components and make sure everything is performing exactly as it should — but she’s not finished yet!

From here, she’s heading back into rigging where the crew will install the remaining pieces, finish up the details, and get everything dialed in.

Then it’ll be time for the final sea trial and the full completed reveal. 🔥

And we have to say… even unfinished she’s a beauty

Owner Spotlight | Brett Dowdy

As we approach two years since Hurricanes Helene and Milton changed so much for families across our coast, Brett Dowdy’s story feels especially meaningful to share.

In the fall of 2024, Brett and his family lost the comfort of home when it flooded and became unlivable. At the same time, the Gause he had waited more than 20 years to own—purchased just two months earlier—was badly damaged.

What followed was a year and a half of rebuilding, navigating insurance, taking care of his family, and finding their way back to normal.

But somewhere in the middle of all of it, that boat became more than the boat Brett had always dreamed of owning.

“It was just my family and I. It felt like we had the entire ocean to ourselves… We were going through a lot as a family, and at that moment it just took us away from all of that and let us heal as a family.”

For this Owner Spotlight, we’re doing things a little differently. We’re stepping aside and letting Brett tell his story himself—in his own words.
