2021 Cobia 240CC Sea-Trial ⛵️

During the sea trial, we identified several minor issues that could have easily gone unnoticed by the buyer.

The starboard-side Power-Pole was found to be completely inoperable, the hydraulic power steering assist pump was not functioning ($2900 part), the trailer was not equipped with brakes, all three 12-volt trolling motor batteries were faulty and dated back to 2020 and several items were missed during the last two routine maintenances performed by the seller.

The seller agreed to repair any issues that could reasonably be addressed before closing the sale. For any remaining unresolved items, the seller agreed to deduct the cost of the necessary replacement parts from the final purchase price.

This is exactly why a pre-purchase inspection is so important. It helps identify potentially costly mechanical and electrical issues before you complete the purchase, giving buyers the information they need to make an informed decision and potentially save thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs.
