THANK YOU ALL FOR THE PAST 22 YEARS!!!! TODAY, APRIL 10th is the last official day of business. We have mixed emotions.
Closing our doors. Time to retire. We thank all of our customers for being our customers. We hope that future for all is bright and full of good times. We are sad to go but time is the great equalizer. We cannot recommend any shop here in town but are referring to Littlestown Auto Care and Brownies Auto in Walkersville. Make sure to keep an eye on your oil level!! Thank you all again.

Yes, we are selling the shop. It has been since 2004. My health, both mental and physical are not the best. It is time. The past 20 plus years here have been great. The relationships built, the sharing of family events and the fun we have had make it hard. Taneytown has been great and we want to thank all of those that have supported Faith and I. We remember those that helped us when our house fire happened. We remember the cards and flowers sent when my mother passed away. We remember all those that have passed and were a part of our success. Thank you all.

HANKOOK REBATE UNTIL MARCH 14th!!

02/03/2026

FEBRUARY!! Ahh, the month of Love!! It is also the month that we have historically gotten some pretty bad snow!! It is a short month but is sure can pack it all in, in just 28 days!! It is also the month with VALENTINES DAY in it! Now this year, no excuses, it falls on a Saturday. So, make you plans to get the "Lovey Dovey" going on. We are here to make sure that the Chariot you arrive in does not turn into a pumpkin on the way back from the date. "Roses are red, violets are blue, my car won't start, so I can't come to you". Is NOT the love poem you want to be reciting!!! Dog house for sure!! Be safe, buy flowers, often. We are here to help with vehicle issues, love issues?, ask Ann.........

01/27/2026

WE ARE OPEN!! That is about it. Snow in the lot and of course, the tractor has a flat. Not just a flat but the sidewall split. SO inner tube time!! As far as our schedule goes, it is out the window. We are going to do the best we can, we have big jobs going on and with the snow, parts are delayed. So, we will be doing emergency work only for this week and into next week. Depends on what weather we get this coming weekend. Be safe everyone!!

01/26/2026

Due to the weather, we will remain closed today (01/26) parts are not running full capacity and without parts, we cannot work!! Anyone on the schedule, we will make arrangements. Enjoy the day, stay warm. BE SURE TO CLEAN THE SNOW FROM TOP OF YOUR VEHICLES!! IT IS NOT A BADGE OF COURAGE BUT MORE OF A SIGN OF STUPIDITY!! You can get a ticket, and if an accident is caused by snow or ice coming off your vehicle, you could possibly be found at fault for the accident. Common sense.

JANUARY 2026!! So far, it has been good. Seeing prices drop on many part lines including oil!! We have been changing the parts matrixes to reflect the better prices. So far, it has been a nice Winter, not too many issues this year. We are currently running 3-4 days for an appointment so if you need services, we can get ya in!! Please be safe driving in the chill. Watch the black ice at intersections where tail pipe drip water, it can really surprise you!! Also, wipe you door gaskets with silicone spray to help prevent them from freezing shut. Keep your fuel tank at 3/4 or full as much as possible. Reduces the condensation possibility in the tank. Keep tires inflated to recommended rating. Make sure that YOU as the driver, knows what to expect with the ABS and steering control features on your vehicle. Electronic systems are nice and all that but do not put all your faith into them, best way is hands on experience. Most of all, be safe, take you time and relax!!

Christmas is upon us!! The cold weather is here!! If anyone is looking for a gift idea for me, I would like either a used Destroyer or Frigate. I would also take one of those failed LCS ships with the combining drive gear issue. We then can be pirates!! Kidding aside, we want to wish all of our customers a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah!!
Now we are getting into the chill of winter, a few tips to help deal with the issues it can bring.
Get some silicone spray and wipe your door gaskets with it. It will help keep the doors from freezing shut.
Keep your dash clear so the defroster can work properly.
Keep your fuel tank above half as mush as possible.
Washer fluid, there are many types out there, make sure the one you use has at least a -20 degree freeze point.
Tires, keep inflated to recommended pressures, now many tires have a maximum pressure, to find the correct pressure, involves a little math so best base is to take max pressure and subtract about 4 to 6 lbs. The spec on the door tag is for ride comfort, not MPG or tire life.
Be safe driving when it gets nasty, reduce your speed as needed and keep a following distance a bit more in length. Do not become totally trusting of traction control and ABS systems. Best advice is to find a large parking lot when it is snow covered, go about 35 mph and slam the brake on, the ABS will engage and get used to the process, the other thing, with ABS, you can turn to avoid what caused you to go into ABS in the first place.
The best thing is called COMMON SENSE, use it, if you do not have to be out and about, stay home and drink an Irish Coffee. We want all of our customers to be safe and have a happy holiday season this year. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Join us November 12th at 7:00 PM EDT in person at Bear Branch Nature Center, or via the Zoom links below.
Join us at Bear Branch Nature Center for our membership meeting, our annual “show and tell” buyer’s workshop of our astronomy equipment. This is a chance to learn about each other’s gear. Thinking about Christmas gifts? You may find someone is using just the goody you want… or get a warning that the latest shiny thing doesn’t really fulfill the vendor’s promises.
To keep the meeting from running way too long, presenters are limited to 5-7 minutes and must RSVP to [email protected] in advance to get on the agenda.
You are also welcome to bring items to trade, swap, or sell during the set up and break times.

TIFFANY WILLIAMS of UNION BRIDGE!! You are a DEADBEAT! How dare you stick me with a repair bill and then abandon your vehicle. No title, tags are still good. I have removed your tags. You still have an outstanding repair invoice PLUS over a year of storage charges. Thanks for screwing us. Really thank you for showing how low an fellow human can go. Seems you have a track record of fu***ng people over. Waiting to hear back from your landlord, moved AGAIN and no forwarding address. Bet MVA will find you, seems you have a vehicle registered with NO insurance. They will find you. Then you will have to pay me to get your tags back to turn in. Should have paid us.

This is IT!! The BIG show!! Rabble Rouser Pierre Barkdan and Swanback Olive O'Lay are going to be representing Taneytown in the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America's NATIONAL TERRIER TRIAL which is held at the Washington County Agriculture Center. We will be racing on Friday and all the other events on Saturday and Sunday. We are expecting a huge turnout this year and the public is invited though do not bring any dogs with you, this is the only trial we have closed to non-Jack Russell Terriers. We are hoping to bring home one or two Championship ribbons!! I know Pierre is going to do great!!

Tiffany Williams, formally from Taneytown and Williamsport Maryland. Just want to let you know that you are DEADBEAT!! Not only did you not pay us after we trusted you on your word, you abandoned your vehicle at our shop. Then I come to find out that you left your landlord behind on rent and the house you rented trashed. You have ignored all our letters and never returned any of our calls. I have no other choice then to make others aware about how untrustworthy and meaningless your words are. Shaming you publicly is now our only recourse since you have moved and left no forwarding address. So, if anyone Know Tiffany Williams, let her know that we are posting she is a DEADBEAT!!
