The regular Golf could be coming back to the US 👀

VW is only selling the Mk8 Golf in the US as the GTI and R... BUT that could all be about to change. With Golf production moving to Puebla, Mexico in 2027, VW Group of America CEO Kjell Gruner hinted that it "opens up opportunities for other Golf variants." (Translation: a more affordable, base Golf could finally make its return stateside)🇺🇸

The big wildcard? Tariffs. A 25% import duty on a Mexico-built entry-level Golf would make the pricing tough to justify, so it's not a done deal just yet.

After years of only being able to choose between a $36K GTI and a $51K Golf R, the idea of an attainable Golf hatch is something we can definitely get behind. 🙌
