After 76 years of service, it is with mixed emotion I announce the last day of business for Smulligan Glass is Friday, May 29th.

Last year I set the plan to retire this spring. Of course, after a cancer diagnosis in November I knew I had to stick to this plan.

My grandfather started this family owned and operated business in 1950. My father, Ken, and Uncle Karl (Bud) kept the business going along with my grandfather's brother Jim, Sr., Jimmy, W***y, Joe, Vaughn, and now myself. We all appreciate your years of trusting us for your glass, paint, upholstery and screen needs.

I do not know what is next, but I plan to enjoy each day. Thank you all again!!!

There is not an easy way to make this post or say what we need, but here goes:

Yesterday Pete was diagnosed with cancer.😪 At the present we do not know much. He was seen in the ER on 11/3 for back pain, and a CT scan found this incidentally. He quickly had several visits and a biopsy which confirmed our worst fear. More testing is scheduled this week, next oncology visit is next week. We do not know when treatment will begin. We do not know his prognosis, but are remaining positive! He plans to fight his best fight and beat cancer's ass.🙏

We ask for all the prayers and well wishes you can offer as we need all we can get. We also do not want rumors, so have made the decision to share his journey openly so you all know the truth. This is a very scary time for us, and we do not want false information spread.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: SMULLIGAN GLASS will be working on day to day hours. That means even though our routine hours are 8-5 Monday- Friday he MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE! He is sorry for any inconveniences, but his health is now his priority!!! He will do his very best, as always, to complete jobs in a timely manner. Understand that it MAY NOT happen if he is not feeling well. Please, please, please: Don't bitch or complain if it happens, his health comes first!!!🙏
