Usually, when we buy a new calibration target, it sits for almost a year before we get to use it, but not this time!

We got a call yesterday to calibrate the front AVM camera on a 2026 Nissan Rogue. When the call (text actually) came in, we still hadn't received the new target set we had ordered a week ago, so we declined the job. About 10 minutes later, we got a call telling us that the targets would be delivered in about an hour. So, we got back to our client and luckily, they hadn't lined up another service. Took a little bit of time to lay out, but we got it done before the end of the day.

We were called out to Liberty Ford Collision to calibrate the forward radar on this 2018 Passat. Got the target/fixture in place, but the process failed, with a no target detected message. After getting the grille removed, we found that the radar module had been installed backwards. Got that corrected, checked and corrected the physical aim, and attempted the calibration again. The process was successful and we were on our way to the next job!

Stepping up our game a little 😎

Our friends at Prestige Automall called us on this 2015 Rolls Royce Wraith. There was a warning message in the dash for the adaptive cruise/collision avoidance system. A quick health scan showed no communication with the acc radar. Their technicians removed the front fascia and found that the radar was damaged.

They managed to source a replacement at a reasonable price, installed it, and reinstalled the fascia. We returned to finish the job by coding the module and performing the calibration procedure. There were just a couple of minor bumps in the learning curve for this one, but all in all, not a bad first run at a Rolls.
