Just did a 450 Suzuki for a guy from Mississippi. It had suspension stickers on it. The guy paid over $800.00 for the work done and that was even him using the stock springs. The new piston in the forks was installed upside-down, so he basically had pogo sticks for forks. The shock shafts had not been ground down, so all he got there was an oil change. I took pictures of the blunder with the guys sell phone and told him to go get his money back. Last week l had a KTM 85 the top piston in the rear shock the nut came off and totally destroyed the shock. The next day l had a guy come over with a 250 SX the dampening rod came out of the fork cap. The cap was aluminum the dampening rod was steal, it destroyed the cap. It had 6 hours on it. Then over the weekend we have a friend that just bought a 200 with the old style forks with the valving in the bottom of the fork. During a hare scrambles the bottom valve body which is the compression adjuster fell out and was lost. After the race when he realized what had happened he went to check the other side it took 8 or 9 turns with a ratchet. It was.about to fall out also. Someone told me KTM says they have.a tolerance problem with the hard ware in the suspension, l think they have an assembley problem. Of course the KTM dealers claimed none of the 3 bikes l just mentioned were in the affected time frame.
Just to let you no how we roll here at RENEGADE SUSPENSION, I had a guy call me last Thursday from Centerville, Al. He said he worked 2nd shift at the Mercedes plant and did not get off till 11:00 that night. He wanted to race at Cross bones Saturday but had leaking fork seals. I told him to come after work and we would fix him up. He said are you serious, he got here at 2:00 in the morning l fixed him up and set his sag and clickers, he pulled out around 4. I had a guy call me from Lagrange, Ga. and said he needed tires and them mounted for his sons kx85 but he had to work Saturday afternoon. He got here a 8 am l had him back on the road in less than 2 hours.

I recently was told by someone that it took me to long to do a revalue on a bike so a friend sent his some where else. Yes if everything goes well it takes me a good 6 hours to do my job. I am not going to defend that. I do things that no one else does and most others don't have a clue why. I don't have someone to call to tell me what to do l figure it out for myself, because l can. It might take me a little longer but l will not trade my quality of work for speed. So if you are looking for a place to take your bike and go ride in a couple of hours my house is not the place to come. I have been behind every suspension guy around, and l am amazed at what some of them do and get paid for it. That's just not me. I am fortunate enough now that if l no some one is going to be a difficult costumer l turn it down. I want people that appreciate my work and have the confidence in their bike to find new speed because their works so well. And l can promise this. IF YOU HAVE TO ASK WILL HAVING MY SUSPENSION DONE MAKE A DIFFERENCE, THEN YOU HAVE NEVER HAD GOOD SUSPENSION!!!! Once you have had it done you won't ride another bike without it. I'm just saying if it is done quickly you are not getting what you paid for. Also l use to buy 3 springs for what l pay for one now. The quality of the fork seals and bushing is not what it use to be. I use to recommend 40 hours before a service, now you are lucky if you get 20 hours out of the bushings, and, thats OEM Parts. I have gone up $10.00 a side on my springs to $110.00, that's still cheaper than most people. I guess l am through ranting, and l no now days people are going with who is at the track today because it is easy but that does not mean that easy and FREE is better. Do you like paying for something that feels a little different but still does not work right. Also l build you bike for you not your friend. If it works for you l don't care what your friend says. Ride his bike and see how it feels to you. And magazines, we had the YZ250'S intro here at monster. There were 20 bikes and l think 17 different magazines here, what one of them said they all agreed it was funny. They were here a week and everyone rode the same line, and might l say bad lines on a monster track. I grantee l can make a bike turn and track without moving motor mounts, lowering radiators, or replacing triple clamps. It is all about the SUSPENSION!!!! THANKS FOR READING. Happy New Year everyone, l am Johnny Borders owner and operator of RENEGADE SUSPENSION OF ALABAMA LLC. I have been racing since 1969. I rode Pro from 1972 till 1983. Got 3rd overall in 250 National, finished in the top 10 a good bit. I got to National # 30 for 2 years only riding east coast races. I won in 1995 the spring classic at the High Point National, Loretta's, and All 4 events at the Mini O's in the 40 plus. I have had many top 5 finishes at Loretta's. I spent 20 years in the golf car industry and got to play a lot of golf. I loved it BUT nothing takes the place of motorcycles once you have been in it at the level l was at. Nothing has ever felt as good as getting the checkered flag and winning a big race. So l decided to go back to my true passion. I was involved in the building of MONSTER MOUNTAIN MX PARK IN Tallassee, Al. in 1999. We opened in 2000, the track was massive and very technical the turn outs were huge. I ran it for most of the 1st year. NO FUN!!!! I wanted to do more with bikes not a place for people to ride. I broke my leg in 2000 because of my suspension. That was my first major bone break since l started in 1969. That's when l decided to learn to do Suspension. I went and spent a month at PRO ACTION then came home and Business went through the roof. I was suppose to go back after 3 months for another week but business was so good l paid one of the guys from PRO ACTION to come to me. He stayed for 2 weeks and we killed it. By living at the track, now l live across the street from it, I was able to test constantly our bikes always work great. I have worked with some of the best guys on a bike. Here is a few of the most notable JASE LEWIS, CLARK STYLES, JAMES RAGSDALE, BEN HAMILTON, TYLER JUGLE, CHASE BORDERS, ZACK ALKIRE, ZACK THURSTON, JORDON PEEPLES, FREDDY AND GEDDY KARRLE, KENDAL AND BLAIN MASON, AUBURN AND KENNY STINSON, COLE REESE, COLE CHERPAK, COLE BOUTWELL, LUKE AND COLTAN DAVIE. So anyway l do my own thing weather it be two stage or triple stage. I can make your bike work for you. Then we can go across the street and let you ride to make sure you like what you have. It is early December and l have been doing suspension since 2001, this is pretty much the norm for me. No work l am totally caught up. So if you need anything done l can turn it around petty quick. Also no we are just a few weeks away from Monster Mountain being open 7 days a week. Come down get your suspension done and ride. Leave here with an awesome handling bike. Renegade Suspension is and will be alive and well. Because of my son's health problems we have not been able to make the races this past year or so. But Suspension is all l do for a living. I just had a guy come from Jax. Fla. yesterday to do his new 2014 RMZ450. WHEN all was finished he said it was the most awesome bike he had ever ridden. I also have the air forks on the Honda's and Kawasaki's working really well with my flow plates. I have done away with my home phone and only have my cell phone now. My # is 334 558-2291. Last week at AMP Renegade riders won 6 classes 2 seconds and 1 seventh. Johnny Borders, Ret Turner, and Carter Ohknow all won two classes each. James Ragesdale got second in the 450 A class, and Rich York got second in th plus45 class. Joe Wilson had an off day with a 7th in the plus 45. Just goes to show what good suspension can do for you. Great Job guys, keep up the good riding.
