Thank you everyone for the spirited conversation on tubing in the ICW. The intent was genuine to offer places folks can pull the kids that’s not in front of the Cedar Point boat ramp and to bring awareness to the dangers of tubing in these highly congested areas from the EI bridge through Swansboro.

Thank you to those that provided some genuine comic relief! 😝 (Chatlee Bandits) 😂

And those that offered suggestions of places for tubing much safer than the ICW. (Please reshare any locations on this post).

Our waters are complicated and many don’t have the knowledge or the boat draft to find those out of the way places for activities like tubing. As many of you know, can’t go 25 yards without finding a sand bar around here! 😝

Please help BIBL continue to share helpful information and educate those new to the area and boating and simply sometimes with common sense! 😆

CSU with an updated 2026 hurricane season forecast today. Dropping numbers again, primarily due to a strong El Nino. 9 named, including Arthur. 4 of those Hurricanes, including 1 Major.

Unfortunately have seen this in our area recently also. If you don’t understand why it’s dangerous (& illegal), you don’t need to own or operate a boat!
